when I first thought about college I was always thinking "I'm gonna go to a school reallyyyy far away because I hate my town" & all of that, my main colleges were 4-6 hours away.. now my main college is an hour away. I can't imagine being really far away but I get home sick easily so.

Never know until you try ...and always apply to more than one college and if you don't get accepted into any of them then go to a community college first

Hey I'm in the same situation! Even if you don't get in this year go to a community college, It's a hell of a lot cheaper for the same exact classes (everyone takes the same classes the first two years, whether at harvard or a JC). Plus, you can then apply again your junior year. My counselor said that it's actually easier to get into a university as a junior because they know that since you've already taken two years and are still pursuing your education, you're more serious about it than freshman.
