You are honestly my inspiration to want to dress more vintage like. I've always wanted to but was sorta fearful. But now I'm not because watching you made me realize that I don't need to be afraid to dress how I want :-)

Me, too. What if I just look stupid? I'm just sorta...easing my way into it slowly but seriously, great style has been around for years, we really shouldn't let our fears control us so much.

When I was cleaning out my grandparents house, I found TONS of little plastic hair combs in every color imaginable. That's how my grandma wore her hair. When I wear them, I think of her.

So strange, I did my hair like that on the sides with combs almost every day for school back in the 80s, while other girls were doing punk or the big hairstyles. I guess I was 40s cool before retro was even a thing😶

Yes, curls and combs! My mama would sew flowers on my combs to match certain outfits. She was the best. I still wear combs from time to time esp since I found the ones for my fine hair!!

Thank you! I have the worst time with a wee bit of hair always popping out the bottom of the comb and sticking out backwards of everything else. I think the way you showed the twisting with stop that, and I love the bobby pin trick. Thanks again! Wishing you well!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this hair style. It looks so neat and professional...like it will last me for hours in the office without having to mess with it. Do you have naturally straight hair?? (Or naturally curly hair...) I have the straightest hair of anyone I have ever met. Zero frizz unfortunately.

What exactly is your haircut? Do you have a middy or a long length? I had my haircut a few weeks ago and I wanted my hairstylist to give me the "long length" cut but I think she was afraid to cut my hair that short and didn't understand how to read the diagram...It came out OK, I definitely noticed after the cut my wet set came out much better and lasted longer. It still doesn't seem to come out as curly at the back though so that's what makes me think it needs to be shorter at the back or needs shorter layers?? I used at least 24 (maybe more) pink rollers in my hair and my hair isn't what I would consider super thick so I don't think it was that I took too small sections or anything.

Another important factor when using Bobby pins ensure to get the Bobby pins closest to the shade of your hair so that they're easier to conceal. Eg if you have lighter coloured hair don't use black bobby pins💜
