This is actually Missy Elliott's favorite song in all of her career. Can you blame her? The beat is soooo futuristic and addictive as hell. Timbaland produced nothin' but pure genuine raw creativity all over the "Supa Dupa Fly" (1997) album. Hard to believe he and Miss orchestrated that LP in under two weeks. Then again, is there anything these Wonder Twins couldn't do when it came to heavenly R&B/Hip-Hop/Rap beats + hits? Legendary figures

Alex S lol Fuck Obama, the 90s was one of the best decades to be a black american and obama isn't even a black american in a traditional sense
@2DOpus9 жыл бұрын
Dick JonesOCP The traditional sense? His ass would have been "black in the traditional sense" during the era of black slavery & segregation. No one would even know he was half-white and race as we perceive it is largely superficial. I bet if you gave half the people you'd consider black a dna test you'd be surprised at the results.

Dick JonesOCP one of the most ignorant comments I read from a so-called Black American. Sad thing is that you're probably serious, smh
@americasmaker9 жыл бұрын
iveywebb fuck obama, that nigga is a politician, not a human, plus he does not descend from the africans that were enslaved in north america, so no, he is not a traditional african american if i moved to cuba and started calling myself an afro-cuban after i run for office in cuba, they wouldn't allow me to call myself afro-latino, afro-cuban, nor would i want too, now why should the rules reverse when dealing with black americans, i can move to jamaica, that doesn't mean that all of a sudden im no longer black american and now my ethnicity and heritage has switched to me being jamaican, can you follow that dumb ass?

Without a doubt, Missy is the female Busta Rhymes when it comes to creativity in videos. The visuals will have in awe and it’s a beautiful thing.

Lol Hype Williams with the Classic Robotic Movements from the 90s. Miss these days. When Life felt like you were in another Dimension like Heaven on Earth and when Music Videos had LIFE and COLOR and SOUL to them. The 90s & Early 2000s was the Golden/Silver age. Now we live in the Dark Age. They don't make songs or videos like this anymore....

Could't have said it any better. I was born in 91 so when I graduated from high scool the bad bitch/hot nigga shit started firing up. I would love to go to a club with only 90s-2000s jams!

One of my fav songs of all time. Rip Irish and Magoo
DID NOT appreciate this (as much) when it was released as I do now looking back on it. Luv Missy's fearlessness/outrageous vision. sooooo luv that she used the blow pop!!! it totally contrasted/authenticated the otherwise burlesque treatment they gave this video. . .

Love how Missy took 702 up under her wing 🪽 wrote & produced for them throughout the years & even in the beginning of their career & helped give them a sound of their own. One thing is Missy always loved girls that had that tone like them from Gina Thompson to Lil’Mo
@md65yt4 жыл бұрын
In those times i hoped that 702 would release a whole album produced by Timbaland & Missy. It would've been another late '90 gem.

This woman is one of my earliest memories of pure originality. A lot of people are afraid to give someone praise for influencing them but I must say Missy is on the list of figures whose impact cannot be denied. 🖤🖤🖤
