They interviewed him on his acting techniques and a big part of it is his love of silent film acting. Being able to read what a person is trying to get across without words. Part of the reason he loved his role in Pig. He’s the type of actor who can raise up a film to fucking fun levels if not great levels. He’s not boring. He seems to actually give a shit abt his job.

Exactly why he's my favorite actor. Even in the worst movies like Jiu Jitsu he still brings his A game and never phones it in. He truly loves the craft and that's so admirable

Shoutout to the Nicholas cage video by “In Praise Of Shadows” it clarifies so much about who he is and how he works. It also makes me a bit sad that people think he appreciates his depiction in this new movie. He’s statesd before that he doesn’t like it as it’s not a depiction of him, but of the public perception of him. Still put his all into the role despite the fact he felt like it was a lie. One of the best actors now that I know how he works and why. Massive respect. Loved the episode, keep on keepin’ on

if you pay bail in full without the bondsman, the court holds it and you get it back. if you pay it though a bondsman you pay a percentage like around 10% and you don’t get that back. if you don’t show up you don’t get the money back which is why bounty hunters exists for these bond companies.

same! i have actually never understood the hatred for nicolas cage because if you look into it, a lot of the movies that he was in that people considered "bad", wasn't because of his acting but rather, because of everything else surrounding it. nicolas cage, as an actor, has almost always been the highlight of his movies and it's good to see people give him the credit he deserves, whether its his wacky roles or his more introspective, narrative roles.

Fun fact: the pyramid burial is because of the haunted house cause when he went there, it supposedly caused a lot of misfortune in his life so cause of the houses ‘curse’ he built the pyramid. Cause someone told him that’s what he needed to do to appease the spirits.

Conair was so good too. I can't believe he's been in so many roles and I have barely seen any of them

I don’t think it would have fit in the video but I NEED people to remember Nick Cage was in a Meg Ryan romance movie, in which he played an angel and became human for a woman he fell in live with. City of Angels. Outside of Moonstruck I’ve never been able to take him seriously as a romantic lead…
