Fred Rogers was one of the most important people who ever lived. He taught children something that was so important. That there will only ever be , one "You" and that you are important. He taught me that getting angry about things and being frustrated, isn't the best idea and how to be a good person by sharing. I remember him telling ME these things as I watched, like it was yesterday, and I'm 55 years old. A man is never taller than when he stoops to help a child and this man did that for millions of kids. God Bless you Mr. Rogers!

The Mr. Rogers display brought tears to my eyes too. I met him when I was 4 years old at his studio in Pittsburgh. My grandmother was friends with his secretary and arranged it. He was so kind and gave me some of his records and an X the Owl puppet, which I still have. He was absolutely 1000% the person we all saw on TV. My life has unfolded in such a way that I have met a lot of famous people, many of whom are nice, but the two most wonderful by far were Mr. Rogers and Charles Schulz (creator of Peanuts). They both had a quiet, genuine kindness, dignity, and humility. Our world desperately needs people like them now more than ever, but at least we can remember the lessons they taught and the example they set.

I can’t overstate how much Mr. Rogers still means to me. I didn’t fit in growing up, and was going through a lot of abuse (life is great now). Watching him made me feel safe and cared for. His philosophy of life is something that adults can absolutely benefit from too. He has written some wonderful books. If my anxiety acts up I’ll still put on an episode in the background while I work. It really helps. I would love to see this exhibit in person. ❤️

The Mr. Roger's exhibit there was the main reason for a visit to this place during a baseball vacation trip I was on in 2018 from the Midwest. It was quite the nostalgic feel! If you haven't been, just about an hour east of Pittsburgh is the Fred Roger's Center where even more artifacts from the show reside, including all six of the main character puppets from the Land of Make Believe that were used on the show, Daniel Stripe Tiger's clock house from the LoMB, and more! Free entry during set hours
