Another great video Nick. I am a fabricator welder. I have worked on and off site. When you work off site in doors ,everything you do is perfect square.Then normally it goes for galvanize, then powder coating .Sometimes when you get to site, sometimes it might not be perfectly square so then it's not a matter of cutting a bit off hear and there, because then you've lost the rust protection, this is why it takes time to replace it. Another point is why you work from end to end and meet in the middle you might only need to replace one panel. So then you cut it to size,and then you give it rust protection.

Nick, I follow all of the drone videos almost daily, just to see the latest. They are all good but yours are the Cadillac versions. They are so professional and I love how you follow up on the comments. David Badcock is a great source of information and also questions. On top of all that you seem to have a great attitude and sense of humour. Nothing fazes you, including when you make a mistake or can't figure out what a poster has highlighted. Finally, you are always pleasant with people who walk by and talk to you while you're videoing. You are the best Nick.

The ability to get all the way around the concourse is a typically american experience - most MLS, MLB, NFL, Basketball, & hockey stadiums in the states have this. Walking a full 360 round the concourse pregame is really nice way to soak up the atmosphere and get in the zone for the match and see all the stadium has to offer. Cant wait.

Nice one, Nick. I am a bit surprised that my aside about my birthday was highlighted and mentioned numerous times. That wasn't an intention but, hey-ho. Re: The panel frames on the South Concourse that will plug the Service Hatches. I did state that the 'hatches' are located UNDER, i.e. Underneath, the Viewing Gallery. You needed to be flying lower over Nelson Dock, almost at the same height as the Viewing Gallery. If at 7:56 mins you had gone lower, you'd have spotted the SE hatch directly behind where the frames are stacked, i.e. between the 2nd and 3rd main White Steels from the SE corner, in the brick facade. In your weekend video you flew lower and you could see the bottom of the Service Hatches. PoI's: 1) @ 6:25 mins, we can see that they have closed the southernmost Towers gate in order to dig down and start installing the Retractable Bollards for the entracne, as previously applied to its neighbouring Towers Gate, which has therefore now become the southern vehicular access. The few remaining Heritage Rails, seen in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen at 6:47 mins, will be laid closer to the Regent Road wall, across the southern Tower Gate access, once the Bollards have been completed. 2) @ 12:15 mins, we can see that the contractors in the pontoon on the water channel have fitted the Composite Decking along about half of the outer edge of the Lower Promenade. The sections of the Capping Beam remains on the Lower Promenade awaiting fitting. 3) @ 13:19 mins, yes, the UV Light Arrays (the plans suggested there'd be 15 of them rather than the 9 we know are parked up on the Quayside south of Nelson Dock) will be parked up in the triangular area literally JUST north of the DNOC, i.e. up against the DNOC wall. 4) @ 14:00 mins, a closer look at the larger shrubs means I've changed my opinion to be that they're Laurels, as they have a broader leaf then Privet. They are Evergreen Shrubs, either way. 5) @ 15:55 mins. we can see the 50% porosity structure of the 10m wide roller-shutter gate (the same as the ones at the SW corner).

Excellent detail again. Also a good idea to tie in the info coming out of the club about the stands, access, etc. with your videos. Having looked at the info from the club, I have a concern which I hope is unfounded but maybe the likes of David or Dunc can shed some light. I had the impression from early doors that escalator access would be integral. I have dodgy knees but not to the point of being classed as disabled. It's becoming painful getting up the stairs at home though. I cant see any escalator points on the plans for north or south stands. There appear to be lifts for disabled access but no info on criteria to get in them or how many people they hold (or how often they'll be out of order.. the lifts, not the fans using them!). Anyone got any info on any of this at this point? Personally I'm more interested in this type of info which will influence the seat and stand I choose to sit in rather than knowing I can walk right round to the other side of the stadium to get a pie if I want to. Any steers on this would be much appreciated.
@DuncTheBlue18785 күн бұрын
There’s a massive escalator from the south stand ground floor up to the viewing concourse 👍🏻
@davidbadcock22255 күн бұрын
Tommy: this will be a lengthy response. Escalators: There are 4 locations for Escalators and they are largely focused on the areas that lead to Hospitality. Going round the stadium in a clockwise direction from the NE (the opposite way to the Gate Numbering, which starts for Home Fans with #1 at the WNW and #23 at the ENE as #24 for the Away Fans at the NNE). 1) There's one located at the ground floor at the northern end of the East Stand Main Portal and leads directly up to the Trinity Place Restaurant and Bar area on Level One. 2) There are twin escalators located at the middle of the main South Stand entrance and it goes up to the Viewing Gallery which has open access at Level Two all the way from the SW corner to the NW corner, through the South, East and North Stand Halls. 3) There are 2 mirror-imaged sets of escalators located at the North and South ends of the West Stand Main Portal that can access all three levels of the Main Hospitality Lounges. Lifts: Taking the same clockwise approach: 1) There is one located inside the Away Fans Hall that goes up only one level and will undoubtedly be for Accessibility Fans only. 2) There are 3 lift shafts immediately inside the wall behind the East Plaza, northern Blue-Glazed bench for Home GA Fans. It's too complex to explain more detail but not all the lifts go the full 4 levels and are designed in the modern method of making the lifts as efficient for speed as possible by splitting which floors they service. All three go up to Level One, some to Level 2 and some between Level 2 and above etc. i.e. some shafts have 2 separate lifts operating above and below each other. I suspect these lifts are designed to takebetween 12-20 people depending on weight and size or density. 3) There are 2 lifts located at the back of the Retail Shop that go to Level One of the Retail Shop and also the Trinity Place facilities and then on up to Level 2 and the Premium Hospitality Boxes. They probably cater for 6-10 people. 4) As in 2) there are 3 more lift-shafts behind the wall behind the southern East Plaza Blue-Glazed bench. 5) There is another group of 3 for Home GA Fans located just south of the southern West Terrace Tunnel. These lifts do all travel between Levels 0, 1 and 2. Level 2 is the internal hallway that stretches right around the ground from the SW to the NW at the lifts in 9) below. 6) There are 2 smaller lifts located at the southern end of the Main Hospitality Hallway that feed all 3 floors of the West Stand Hospitality Lounges. 7) There are a pair of mirror-imaged lifts at the nothern end of the Main Hospitality Hallway that feed all 3 floors of the West Stand Hospitality Lounges. 8) There are 2 small lifts in the bowels of the West Stand that feed between the Players Facilities and the Hospitality Lounges. 9) The final group is a group of 3 for Home GA Fans located just to the north of the northern West Terrace Tunnel.These lifts do all travel between Levels 0, 1 and 2. Level 2 is the internal hallway that stretches right around the ground from the NW to the SW at the lifts in 5) above. It's likely that your focus should be on the Escalators 2) and Lifts 2), 4), 5) and 9).

David:, yes, so I gather from other videos. It prompts more questions than answers as to why they need so much scaffolding so 'late in the day' for an area that one would have expected to have largely been completed. I can only presume it's for more steel repainting under the barrel-cladding.

Lang O'Rourke will sign over the Stadium to Everton when their Snag List is complete. Other companies will do other jobs. The Everton Way Stones or the Banners and Signs and Everton Branding etc.
@davegerrard49605 күн бұрын
The handover is the official end of the construction phase when the site is passed to EFC and Laing’s contract is complete, in essence. There will be a phase where Laing’s will still be involved to help complete the test events and support the clubs understanding of the running of the infrastructure of the stadium. A bit like when you have a contractor fit a new kitchen in your home. You have to know how everything works, what guarantees exist and the building inspector has signed it off as fit for purpose…loosely speaking.
