I've been watching Gout Gout all year. There was an interview with his coach in the local media after his 20.29s. They are well aware of the Bolt comparison and are trying to shield him from it. From a coach's perspective that's equally hard for them, because the opportunity to be "the coach of..." would place immense pressure on the coach itself. Having said that, they're also off to train with Noah Lyles soon. I'd love to see Gout going all the way, and with 20.29s, he could easily coast on that to build a promising career without ever achieving much better. As for longevity, and future potential to be as good as Bolt. His coach has stated they'll most likely preference the 2026 U20 WC in Eugene over the Commonwealth Games. In terms of Olympic glory, he'll be 20 for LA28, but his star will hopefully shine as bright as it can at his hometown Olympics in Brisbane '32. As he builds his career in the next 8 years, his name will become ubiquitous in Australia and he will go into the Olympics with huge local anticipation and crowd support, and into history books alongside Australia's greatest athletes of all time. His Sth Sudanese heritage could possible make for a Jesse Owens moment. Australia has a right-wing racist politician who's been openly critical of South Sudanese migrants (like Gout's parents), who could be prime minister at the time of the Brisbane Olympics. He's from Brisbane, as is Gout, so he would be a prominent guest at the Olympics, congratulating Australian medal winners. It could be a mini Berlin '36. Usain Bolt retired at 31, with 4 Olympic games to his name. By age 31, Gout could do the '28 games, '32, '36 and '38. Bolt is an eight-time Olympic gold medalist and the world record holder in the 100 metres, 200 metres, and 4 × 100 metres relay. The only sprinter to win Olympic 100 m and 200 m titles at three consecutive Olympics (2008, 2012, and 2016). He also won two 4 × 100 relay gold medals. That's a huge achievement. I wish Gout all the best to achieve the same, and better. But only time will tell.

"Nothing new". Check the stats mate. World Athletics website has all the best times. In the U20, Gout's time was just added, he comes in 33rd. The list says 29th, but there's 4 others at 29th, all ran 20.29s. The most famous of them (to me) was Justin Gatlin. Further up that U20 list is a who's who of sprinting. However, change the list to U18 and Gout jumps to 4th place. Nothing new, or nothing special becomes a far stretch when only 3 kids in history have run faster. Erriyon stands head & shoulders above the rest with his 19.84s, 5 monhs before his 17th birthday. Usain was a month shy of his 17th b'day when he ran 20.13s. Puripol was only 15 when he ran 20.19, with a +1.7 tailwind. Noah Lyles ran a 20.71s when he was just shy of his 17th. Btw, there is no 20.66s in that list, so your information is at least a little off! But if there were a 20.66s, it'd be the 27th fastest time in the U18.

How his parents hard trained him: Go out! Go out!

Seems like he never stops training until both his big toes are extremely sore.

He lifts his knees a little higher than anyone else which means he "flies" a little further per stride which also means his leg cycle is a little slower than the rest ! You can see his extra knee height at a warmup exercise 7:42 compared to the other guy on the right ! There are other things that make him fast , his low mass legs (skinny) and body . No so muscled as most sprinters are and his upright straight back running style like Michael Johnson USA .

Does that upright running style help with speed?
@dongraham47603 күн бұрын
@@sandraeastern9720 At the end of the day yes! It uses less energy particularly at the end of a race . It also minimizes the prospect of injury !

He is here to compete usain bolt
@bellabana17 күн бұрын
But what made Bolt so unique was the combination of his height and speed. Whereas Gout Gout has the speed but not the same height, he’ll get stronger but he could’ve already finished growing height wise.

He likely keep growing, like most 16 year old boys do.

Exactly. 103,000 white Australian fellas have died fighting for Australia. But that isn't of any consequence so long as we can win a foot race and wave a flag like a bunch of smoothed brained imbeciles.
