Head voice is usually a tone produced by the head or the pressure is something felt on the head. It's not as airy as a falsetto. As a whistle note uses more air so it's like a very high falsetto. That's nit the exact explanation but that's how I can out it on simpler terms. Whistle tones are mostly high notes at least a5 and an example ie Mariah Carey's signature style 🙂

I don’t get it, I’ve always wonder how Mariah just jump into whistle but never does any soprano showing like disco stars would. Sounds unbelievable to me that someone can hit the whistle register and at the same time couldn’t hit some opera notes.

As much as I love all of the covers, they can’t just replicate the romance Minnie exuded whenever she performed this song. This song is about being so madly in love and having butterflies in your belly, yet being sensual. I feel like most singers who sing this forget about the meaning of the verses and focus too much on the whistle part. But they are all great vocalists!❤️

@@justinmaryland1081 i’m a singer and i can tell you for a fact only 2 vocalists in the entire compilation were not using a head voice and it’s because they obviously have a really wide range and have been very strictly vocally trained. it’s extremely difficult to belt out notes that high at some point you have to go into your head voice, not even necessarily because it’s easier but it just sounds better

Thats funny for someone ranting about singing it as the original did. The original is a whistle tone done using the whistle register. But leona , like many in the video , used falsetto . Lmao Also its not messing with it. Its called musicianship . Adapting your own style. Chante moore's was the best one hands down. Actual whistle and she made it her own. Not a carbon copy .

Cristian Brarda she made it her own and it's literally the best one here. A healthy whistle and she was able to make it her own without butchering the original . And FYI she's on key m changing the Melody a bit doesn't mean she's doing it wrong . Even Minnie changes up the whistles for this song. Something's she went high instead of lower. Its what musically inclined people do .
