I just feel like Sierra’s voice has more power... It doesn’t sound thin or feels like it’s at the end of her range. It feels more supported... not a singer but my ears just love her vibrato right at the end. It doesn’t grate on me like a few of the other singers here.

I also find sierra's voice and transition to falsetto a bit weird to listen to..it's not like others..it's a bit strange and too breathy, strained and hoarse for my taste..It's very apparent in all I ask of you..if you want to know what I'm talking about. I like it crystal clear and thin.. while I get many people love seirra's voice because she mixes a lot more than other christine's..so it sounds fuller. And she's doing everything at a lower pitch. And her vibrato is slower..which also..depends how fast you like it.

Also lets not forget, she is the best actress out of all of them. She sings with a lot of emotion, which does most the songs from phantom justice. For example, wishing you were somehow here again- without a doubt she sung that particular song the best out of all the other actresses, mainly due to the emotion she puts behind her singing. She couldn't get her natural vibrato to work, so she tried to fake it by manually trilling. Unfortunatelly that's a terrible option to go for on the notes that high as it sacrifices the stability of the configuration and things will start to sound pitchy and generally chaotic unless you have a lot of reserve in the register you try do it in. It's better to just sing straight notes in that scenario.

Rebecca Caine. She landed right on top of the notes and didn't slide up to them. She didn't overuse vibrato like some of the other girls. Some of those girls sounded like pitchy car alarms with how much vibrato they were using. And mentioning pitch, Rebecca managed her breath well, so she didn't have that issue like a few of these girls had.

Aubrey Posen actually, in almost every performance (including the one with Sierra), the cadenza isn't sung live. It's still incredibly impressive, but Sierra wasn't singing those notes live.

Based on musical performance alone: 1. Rebecca Caine - that E is the clearest, most on pitch, most controlled, she nails it without sliding, and it sounds effortless. Reminds me of Kristin Chenoweth's control on the high note in Wicked. 2. Gina Beck - another very clear high E, closest to Rebecca's. 3. Kaley Ann Voorhies - a very close third! wonderful control. Honorable mention in order, very nice skill and pitch accuracy: Celinde Shoemaker Sierra Boggess Lisa-Anne Wood Rachel Barrel Sarah Brightman in the later performance Emmy Rossum, but I don't think it's fair since it's a studio recording.

My problem with some of them is that they end up sounding like they're just screaming. You have to add the vibrato and take a good breath, the breath is what sperates the notes, so when it's not clear it just sounds like they're getting murdered. Also, like, how? @Amanda Kay Howell: A former theatre teacher of mine who had worked with some Broadway actors in the past informed my class one time how to tell if a Christine is not truly hitting the final note: if she turns her back to the audience. Sometimes they pre-record the note either if the actress cannot hit it, or if they're giving her a break to avoid vocal damage. I honestly have no idea if this is true or not, I'd have to see for myself, but it is a believable concept that makes complete sense.

So a little know fact is that 90% of the recordings and live shows are using an audio track for this part of the song. it sounds absurd but its incredibly difficult to sing these notes 6 nights a week for 7 shows. It would cause sever damage over time and ruin the voice. Set rudetsky did a video with Sierra boggess where he applauded her for being one of a few who could sing the high a ( I think that's what it is) 7 times in 6 days without the recording.

I was so glad and surprised to see Tarja Turunen. 🖤 She is my absolute favourite singer and the reason why I got into both metal and opera-I know she isn’t an opera singer, but I was 8 at the time I discovered her and Nightwish, and it was the closest I’d ever been to “Opera”. Her version is my favourite for sentimental reasons, and because of her is that I got to enjoy this beautiful musical. But honestly every singer who played Christine does such an awesome job!
