It's so sad that the younger generation doesn't know more about Nina Simone especially the way the United States treated her and that she was such a huge sensation in France because she left the United States because France was not as prejudicial as America was and still is at times. I can't tell you how disappointed I am that this is the ONLY top comment about that moment. It was the most *meaningful* clip & I'd never seen it before. That was absolutely incredible.
