But I so far always liked what I did I am a farmer in Italy ( Indian immigrant ) , and I am still open to all the options in the life , and you said verily, be ready to take the risks and be ready to accept that all will not be so great as one believes. But With patience one makes great progress. Thank you. I really felt like a kid out of high school when I saw this video.

Great video thank you so much. I realise about myself that: 1. I love learning about the human body and how to restore it to optimal function. 2. I am really caring. 3. I would love being a life long learner So the options are narrowed to nurse, medical doctor, scientist, pharmacist, physiologist, chripractor, dentist, psychologist. I would like to have a more in depth knowledge than what is required from nurses, so nursing is out for me. I would like to like to apply health care directly to patients so being a scientist is out for me. I would like to focus my area of study to other than purely drugs so pharmacy is out for me. I would like to specialise in an area other than purely teeth so dentist is out for me. I would like to focus on areas on other than social and physological processes so phsychology is out for me I would like to focus on fields that don’t have constant physical adjustments and exercise planning so chiropracting and physiotherapy is out for me. That leaves going to medical school and choosing a field from there.

This topic remains crucial and valuable to present to upcoming students. I would humbly ask that you consider a re-make, and add some notes to the description. Also, recommend finding career mentors even if it is a single meeting to listen and learn about a candidate career choice. Thank you for your contribution to our future.

hey, i really love mathematics & i want to be a teacher. i am not too good at explaining things but i really want to know how to & math is just very fun to me, i love it so much, it’s very fascinating!! i am 14, i am not very outgoing, would it seem like a good career to chose? i want to improve on learning how to public speak because that’s what i will basically be doing, by teaching students.
@JannisAdmek6 жыл бұрын
When I was 14 I wasn't as outgoing either, that's a matter of practice! Also maybe at your age, it's good to think in terms of career directions. You want to do something with math, you want to work with people. That's a good start, you have some time left to perhaps discover new interests. :)

What you should do once it's time to choose your carrier is to write them all down, even those you don't want and then make a comparison. Write down your preferences and how the different carriers corresponds to them. You have a lot of years to think about your choice. The "thing" (person) that helped me decide was talking to a student counselor. Good luck and stay curious!

Yeah bro... Can't agree more about what you are saying... I love the point of the job should be contribute to other people,, My point of view... in order to know what we are good at or what we love at... There are many instruments in doing so... Such as: Multiple Intelligent theory: Telling us about what kind of degree we are good at... or else.. the other theory is coming from Psychology theory.. In other words, we need to know what things that triggers us... what we love about.. How could we make decision... What kind of person we are... All these things are involved into Personality Measurement... :D

For math, you have to alot of proofs instead of computations. If you are comfortable with derivations, it should okay for you. If you only want to know the answer rather than the reason, then engineering might be better for you.
@garythecyclingnerd62198 жыл бұрын
To be fair, many people in STEM need to move around as the only way to get promotions. Unless your in an area like Research Triangle Park, where companies compete for engineers, programmers, etc, the companies will happily pile on responsibilities and maintain pay or a pittance of a raise.

Hello Eddie, I was wondering what your thoughts are about pursuing a career in Environmental Science because i don't know people around me who have chosen this career path and so i cannot find much information, but i have an interest in this field. By this i mean what they study or do etc. I am currently in year 10 and next year i am going to be doing Maths B and C (different levels of maths-- B being difficult and C being the most diffficult), Physics, Biology, Geography and English. I would really appreciate your opinion on this and thank you for this helpful video.

Hi, is life happening? Did you chose environmental science in the end? I would like to hear about the job scope of the career
@mightywar8393 жыл бұрын
@@elaine3867 Hi, it's been a long journey. I ended up choosing a dual degree in environmental science and statistics (currently in 3rd year). In terms of career prospects, there are a range of things you could specialise in including env consultancy, environmental risk and impact assessments (e.g. for mining and construction), soil or land remediation, air/water/soil monitoring/sampling, rehabilitation and restoration ecology, and various jobs in GIS. I would say most job opportunities are for GIS as there is a high demand for geospatial analysts. You can expect to work in the private sector, or with government. From what I have learned, private sector has more opportunities for challenging work/growth, whereas government is more mundane and slow but well paid. You can also always pursue research if you are more into rigorous work beyond a bachelor's or want to publish papers in your chosen field.

@yefanli13807 жыл бұрын
Eddie let me ask you this question: What is interest? Is finding something interesting innate? I mean it is easy for you to say ohh choose a degree that you find interesting and good at, that’s because you were brought up with this ideology pre programmed in to your mind. Some people need to do a certain degree because their family wants their kids to manage their family business,you you just say “ screw you! I don’t want to do management, I want to do let’s say psychology!”. I’m a Chinese and i have seen countless examples where my friends are forced into a degree that they don’t like. I’m not saying what you are saying is wrong, all I’m saying is that there are people that they cannot do anything about
