I have vin 000002. 3lt z51 rapid blue. Lingenfelter-corsa exhaust, haltec intake, and a 91mm PP throttle body. Super fun car. TT in the future. Cicio offers a lifetime warranty on the engine and transmission with the 700 whp kit.

If you like NA power Z06. If you plan on throwing some turbs at it Z51. LS/LT has been developed so no surprises.

The LS/LT has decades of development behind it. You could build a very serious NA Stingray plus suspension and aero for way less than the MSRP of a Z06.

Sheerhippo you are right they have developed the LS/LT to the Nth degree. It's a nice way of saying it's played out. LT6 is a year old and is basically untouched by the aftermarket so far. Not for long I would imagine. Think of the LT6 as two K24s. 4 piston Racings 2.7 K series made 519hp. Now times that by 2. 1k hp NA @ 10,000 rpm? Yes please.

@@jonmac155I can’t see the LT6 ECU being cracked for a long time, honestly. And so far, whatever power mods that people have tried to do with it hasn’t net massive results. It’s a pretty “maxed”/strung out engine from factory.

Fun fact about decibels. Every 3 db is the doubling of sound pressure. But the human ear can't perceive sound being twice as loud until about 10 dB. So 89 to 99 is about twice as loud lol

Great Video!! I have a Matte Blk 3LZ/Z07 with Carbon wheels and I’m in love. This thing screams with a straight piped Catless & Titanium exhaust setup.. I also have the Ported Throttle bodies and Eventuri intake, pushing 730+HP. Damn thing can be heard over 4 miles away. Sounds very much like a V12. Comparing a Stingray to a Z06 is like comparing a pineapple to a biscuit LOL Definitely a 458 on some serious steroids ✌🏼 Worth EVERY Penny 💯 ZR1 🤔 doesn’t sound as good but I will have to see And hear one in person before I decide to give my Z07 up.. I know it will do 215+ but mine already sounds like I’m doing 215 in 2nd at 8k RPM. Very emotional experience 🖤

My 1LZ z06 was 115k out the door so you don't need to spend 150k on one. Yes i have the poverty spec z06 but i got the car for the widebody and the engine. I had my name on the stingray list and cancelled that when my name was called for the z06. Having the z06 now there would be no way i was going to be happy owning a stingray lol. Hopefully in a couple of years i can upgrade to the ZR1.

A "base" Z06 coupe starts at around 112K. Its also the lightest, fastest c8 z06. Dont need HTC, front lift, huge wing etc to add weight to the car...A base 1LTZ with carbon fiber wheels is the fastest c8 z06

A base 1LT Z07 with carbon wheels and Cup 2Rs is the fastest C8 Z06. The carbon fiber wing doesn’t add any notable weight to the car.

easy answer is no.... buy the base for 84k and get a boostlogic supercharger kit and a build motor for it still for less than the z06 all you not getting is the ferrari sound but who cares when you have a c8 that chops and makes supercharger noises

Engine and wide body? Nope wrong, suspension is tuned way differently the cooling is better ive got ccb and carbon wheels 345 rear vs 305 rear. My z51 struggled on ach in CA, but the z06 is night and day different.
