A beautiful version, Sangah Noona. This song is especially moving for me. Many years ago I used to hang out with a guitarist/singer friend of mine, Paul, at the pub where he played. He was a very well-known musician and was even featured in Time Magazine. At that time I was still adjusting to post-divorce single life and was sometimes quite overcome with feelings of loneliness, especially through a couple of episodes of unrequited love. Paul was very kind to me and that helped me deal with those tough times. He included this song in his CD and I would listen to it endlessly. I could so readily identify with the lyric. I was indeed helpless like a kitten up a tree, and I did 'get misty the moment you're near.' Paul is gone now and every time I hear this song I am transported back to a time my life was both cuttingly sad but also heartwarmingly cared for. I do listen to Paul's version often, but yours is as poignant, without the sense of loss I get when I hear his voice.
