Ah, someone who let all their other stats suffer to max out their luck stat. Tends to result in the paradox of getting them INTO dangerous situations, while getting them out the other side at the same time. Mr. Magoo would be proud of his descendent.

Fun stuff. I loved the way the confusion and mistranslations were presented. Really allows the reader/listener to appreciate the issues involved. Wonderful and clever little story. This reminds me of something from the golden age of SciFi. While the setting is completely fantastical it does deal with a very specific social and human issue in a unique and entertaining way that only such a setting would allow. This is the essence of Science Fiction. Well done.

Thanks for posting this story! The misunderstandings were funny. As another commenter mentioned, it would have been funny to watch the authorities going over the debriefing reports from both points of view.😂 I took 3 years of German in high school about 50 years ago, so I can understand how knowing just a little of another language and culture can lead to confusing misunderstandings. I became a fan of sci-fi when I was about 10.😊

Because red is the colour of human blood... and if you are seeing that... a human is having a bad day, and someone else likely non human is about to have a even worse day. hence in the Galactic civilizations Red=Emergency.

I liked the miscommunication. Makes it seam more realistic. Imagine the Police report (or equivalent), reading each of their witnesse statements. Would have been better if he left the profanity out. I give it two out of five.
