Kubrick brings a home a great point in this scene in regards to how information is presented to the public by the media. “It would not be impossible to prove with sufficient repetition and a psychological understanding of the people concerned that a square is in fact a circle. They are mere words, and words can be molded until they clothe ideas and disguise.” ― Joseph Goebbels

Precision of language is important, so as not to misinform or misunderstand. But when language is deliberately changed to affect perception, THATS when you have a problem.

yup. It happens pretty much every time, and people still buy it. Nam, Iraq, Afgan, Serbia, Yemen, Syria, Lybia, Ukraine, Gaza.. you name it. And yeah of course "the war on terror" and my favorite one "the war against the virus" hilarious

But when are we NEVER using our words deliberately to AFFECT PERCEPTION 🤔 EVERY TIME WE EITHER SPEAK OR WRITE TO ANOTHER HUMAN BEING WE ARE ALWAYS IN SOME SHAPE OR FORM SAYING THESE THINGS TO ANOTHER TO HAVE THEM SEE THINGS THROUGH OUR OWN INDIVIDUAL LENS! 🤓

I love the lighting out the windows of the sunset. Usually you see orange or red ones, it's great to see a purple one.

"is there an irregular?" Yeah, they're called the Viet Cong
@Seriona1

Irregular would be North Vietnamese militia. Viet Cong were a South Vietnamese militia who opposed the military government which means they were technically unholly allied with North Vietnam.

People get distracted by Joker's smugness and forget that he is standing up to the lying media, who we all despise for the false narratives they spin and the chaos they create.

What is the Fall? Military? The Commander here also played in In-Country with Bruce Willis. This scene is GENIUS. The guy basically teaches class, after ordering a pervy op, he then informs of a miiltary term change finished by the briliance of criticism toward national media for omissions while simultaneously FALSIFYING a military document for Morale sake which by definition, should be classified as a Psy Op tactic. Against our own. Imagine that.
