Cool ass project! What made you decide to go with Servos instead of BLDC’s or stepper motors?

Thanks! Brushless motors would have been the bests to go with, but ones with high torque are extremely expensive. Also I wanted to keep this project low scale and for this size, Servos proved to be the best alternative. Stepper motors are too slow for fast actuation especially if you add a gear reduction. They are better for other projects like robotic arms.

The way I approached this was all wrong. The motors don’t lock into position and it’s really heavy. I’m currently finishing up a new version that walks much better.
