Damn I want either of these teachers lives!!! Especially hers! Damn I wish I cared more and had drive when I was a teen :( It took me growing into my 30’s before I became truly nerdy and love learning about science, physics, math, aviation, orbital dynamics and astrophysics. So much harder to do cool stuff like this when you are older with a family! Any younger person reading this, please shoot for the moon while you can! You will get to experience and be part of amazing things in the future :)

6:28 class D does not indicate a controlled airport, the blue airport color does.

What are you talking about? Class D airspace is defined by the FAA as Controlled airspace. Class D is also depicted on maps by the dashed blue circle. It's one in the same, and yes, it is controlled.
