You made it clear about the 3 versions of the mitas, the best explanation I have ever watched. Thanks

Good video. I had E07 (front) and E07+ Dakar on the back of my KTM 950. They were good tyres, but needed a lot of weights on the wheels to balance acceptably. When they wore out I repalced them with Conti TCK70 (front) and TCH70 Rocks (back) which were much better balanced in comparison.

Thanks mate! My front tire had to be balanced using two weights. I was not sure if the rims had an issue or not. Good to know that!

Interesting. My experience with Mitas E07s has been as OEM fitment on a 690. Not a fan. On road, brilliant. On dirt, ummm... what's the phrase that means the opposite of confidence inspiring? Yeah, that's what they are. 🤷 For mine, they're too road biased. OK, I slightly exaggerate, but I find the rear spins very easily - great fun, but not necessarily what's required. The front though... I really didn't like the front. With me on board, in my local conditions, it just doesn't grip. It slips and slides with little warning, even taking it easy. I don't usually replace tyres before they need it. I even wore out the infamous "deathwings" that came on my DR650 (not great, but ok if you're aware and cautious on corners). I've made an exception for the E07s. I'm sure people like them, but I'm keeping well away. My new front is so much better for my riding. I'm confident (from previous experience) my new rear will also be much better - once I fit it.

Hey there. Thanks for sharing. Sorry to hear your experiences with them was not so good. I guess a tire is only as good as when it reaches its capabilities and Mitas is no exception. Being is a 50/50 60/40 tire, it has its limitations. It will never be a truly off-road tire nor will be a brilliant road one. For the style of riding (mix of pavement and some light off-road ) that I do with them they’ve been a very good compromise for the past 4 years. It’s an all rounder tire! That is what makes them so good for me. All the best 👍

I ran a set of E10’s Dakar on my Africa twin. Tough to mount and my traction control came on far too much on road!

Thanks for you comment! I never run those tires. I was going to get the E09 but that tire is mostly for off-road. I would like to try the XT Plus some time. It looks to be a great tire. Again more off-road orientated then the E07.

Tire choice is bike dependent. What works for one may not directly relate to another due to the weight of the bike itself.

@@ivorscruton5121 I believe the purpose of the video was to bring details to those who are looking for more specific information about the Mitas Adventure tire.

I guess your statement has something of true about it. But again like @carvalhoj said above my intention was only to explain and review the mitas tires and why they are working for me for so many years. Thanks

Can you tell me what you run for a front tyre with these tyres please ?
@44degreesmotorcycleadventures6 күн бұрын
Sorry mate don’t follow your question. Are you asking me what bike do I run these tires on?

Mitas make an E07 front
@44degreesmotorcycleadventures5 күн бұрын
Sorry mate now I know what you mean. I run mitas E07 or E07+ in the front. If you have a transalp 700 you have to run a E07 in the front as Mitas was not making the E07+ for that profile. Cheers
