Thanks A LOT !!! I bought a 2010 Piaggio Fly from an elderly couple who'm used it on vacations only. 10k kms on it... On my first day to my work the belt got destroyed... Got new rollers, sliders znd a belt in 2 days and it back running in 3 hours. Thanks to you!

Where did u get the tool to hold the Variator in place while u tighten? As I don't have a impact and always have to take my scooter to a friends to change belts...that tool would help me out

Cleaning the air filter , when open this box see that had a lot oil filter , more the grease , with dirty filter you 'll need 4 turn in the sprea , clean all and put a little oil filter or changue the filter if its very dirty , and now only with 3 turns in the sprea ...ok ?

Another , change your Spark , I buy Denso Iridium , for me the best , I have one 2004 Piaggio Skipper with 7,500 kms , and check the lines of gas in my case was broken , check your oil too ! Respect the viscosity always. in my case 5w-40 put Repsol Scooter Synthetic , and the air of tyres with one digital calibrator 29psi its ok. Good Luck Friend

an engine builds up pressure in the oil resevoire (bottom of the engine), normally there is a hose which vents out to your intake or to the atmosphere which gets rid of the built up pressure, check if that hose isn't bent or something. same thing happened to my ktm.

Mitch's Scooter Stuff oh really? ive never heard people say leave it in, in that case im not too sure. I believed that the washers were just there to prevent the variator reaching "max power"

+MotherPuckerVids They aren't restrictor washers, they are there to ensure correct spacing of the outer pulley. if you take them out then the variator nut will bottom out on the thread and the pulley wont be held tightly causing the pulley splines to strip, or even worse the crankshaft splines can get damaged. Variator restrictor washers slide over the silver cannon bush that mitch slides into the variator at 1.05

Don't forget to add some copper grease to the bolts that you put into the CVT cover, you don't want that to rust.

In gearless scooters, Should we apply little bit of grease on rollers and roller-grooves in variator for smooth spinning of rollers in variator? Or will it make more issues after some time like dust deposit, vibrations etc ? Please tell what should we do with proper reason.

I wouldn't use grease but I used this amzn.to/2REKN99 for sliders so they won't be sticky or stuck

depends on weigh of sliders.... sliders get better rpm at high speed... and a lot last longer than rollers.

Had to take my clutch to a scooter shop and I gave the counter guy $20 just to spread the pulley and get the belt in...( I'm 74 with pretty bad arthritis....lol ) Just an idea, for any others having this problem. HINT: If you have someone do this for you, make sure that the belt is facing where the writing can be read, looking down at the clutch as it's spread. If there are also arrows, they face going left (counter-clockwise).

how did you put the cvt cover so easily? i fight with this cover such a time and few minutes ago it goes on place. and then i start, so there hear something strange little9 noise. so then i was take a test drive, i hear huge strange noise in cvt and i dont know what is would it. my bike is piaggio fly 125. ps. im finnish and sorry about a grammar.

I believe that belt is upside down. I think the smooth side rides the variator not the notced side. At least on the Honda Ruckus it did.
