I turned my ignition on, took out the switch, rolled the ball end on a clean rag back and forth while pressing it in and out. While doing so i could see the reverse lights cutting on and off sporadically. After a minute or so of doing this the lights were working as they should. I put the switch back in and put it in reverse and the lights work perfectly. No cost at all

On the VR4, the switch faces down and towards the front of the car so it must be accessed from below. It does not have anything to do with the clutch, nor is it near the clutch as described in the video, but good video nonetheless.

If the reverse lights are not associated with the clutch, why do they only turn on when the stick is put in reverse? The stick is what controls the clutch. You can only put it in reverse and this activating the reverse lights by manipulating the clutch gears. There’s no reverse button to activate the reverse light. You don’t know what you’re talking about. I just watched the video and it was on point. He demonstrated the problem, went through the possible problems in order of ease to fix, fixed the problem and showed the positive end result. This was an EXCELLENT video that clearly explained everything point by point.
