I have a 1994 VR4 that I bought when I was 18. I owned a very fast… even considered fast 10 years ago, 1995 VR4 that is even faster that’s when I owned it. I loved mine and bought it when I was 18. Haha I will be 34 next month and need to drive mine. It isn’t crazy modified or anything. It does have bolt on turbos, stillen intake, turbo back exhaust, boost controller, fuel pump and probably makes about 400whp. I know that’s not fast by today’s standards, but it is a very fun car to drive honestly

I own the exact same vr4, had it for over 20 years and love it,will probably never get rid of it. Yea it is underrated, this car is AWD, has adjustable suspension, adjustable exhaust, active aero, and you can launch 🚀 so hard off first gear ❤️

Well balanced car and gives the driver such a different driving experience with the awd and aws. I picked one up in February they are amazing. They feel like a refined evo 9 but on a more luxury level, super smooth and comfortable.

I had one right out of high school. Definitely got in a lot of trouble with it... Was the most fun car I have owned to this day. Had so much power, easily won every race i had, even beating cars like vipers and corvetes. Looks so aggressive with a body kit/slammed/rims/and wing. Definitely itching to buy and build another one.

Those 90s Diamond Star Motors collaborations between Chrysler and Mitsubishi were pure gold. I had a 1990 Eagle Talon Tsi AWD turbo for a winter car in the Midwest back in the day, but it would routinely make V8 cars of the time cry after the light turned green. If either of those companies could find a way to bring back to market light weight cars, easily modified, minimal options, at a good price point… they might be onto something. The original Talons/Eclipses/Lasers and Stealths/3000GTs, oh and the EVOs of course were iconic. Bring back a raw power car without all the expensive high tech… there might be something there if the price point is right. If done well could make a new generation fall in love with cheap forced induction cars all over again. Probably won’t happen, but I can dream 😂

Although the 3000GT is not a DSM car. They were all manufactured in Japan and imported. Stealths were rebadged and modified versions, but also imported, not manufactured in DSM factory.

That car has a heavy clutch, mine is easy to use. And the "turbo lag" is just that the car can be driven normally without the turbo kicking in until around 3000 rpm. And the reason it is such a comfortable car to drive is in the name 3000 "GT" it is a sporty touring car.

Man I love both of those modern classics. Those were being sold shortly after I got my license and dreamed of buying one. Still would love either

If the clutch is heavy, its because the clutch accumulation tank is faulty. The clutches on mine is buttery smooth

The people I know who love these things/stealths, always bought a second or third one as a parts vehicle. Not sure if they're just cheap enough to do so, or if they needed it due to unreliability.

The 6G72 is a bit unreliable, like some other mitsu V6's. Conrod bearings spinning loose is a quite common failure, often due to oil pan getting a tiny dent which blocks the inlet tube inside and then starves the oil pump.

I had a 91 T-bird 5.0HO in that color ("Teal" was very popular then), loved it. 😊 This car harkens back to my 93 Mitsubishi/Chrysler Talon, quick amd hamdled great until someone squished it. 😢 This This thing looks fun if it handles the go juice and actually handles!😢 😀

This is the sports car you would drive all year round. Even in poor weather.

Yes, as it's more of a GT, not so much a "sports car" in a traditional sense.

As I recall, the Active Aero would deploy the spoiler at a certain speed (75mph?)… and a VR4 has AWD and 4 wheel steering.

Car looks pretty nice but those are 30 year old cars and tons of stuff can go wrong and affect the power delivery, VR4s have almost no turbo lag with the stock turbos (actually any bolt on stock turbine will be like that) and from 2500rpm you will feel the pull, if you need to go to redline then something is wrong (usually vacuum leaks, boost solenoid dies and you are at wastegate boost, like 6.5psi)

El supra.no puede ser comparado con el vr4 porque el vr4 tiene tecnología que nunca ni un sport car pudo hacer en esa época. Toyota supra tiene cero tecnología.
