HLA's dont need replace, just remove them open them and clean them. its a really easy job. Its happens when the car sits for vey long, the HLA's can start making a ticking, really anoying !!!, they get stuck and dont auto Adjust.... On the BMW i think people ref the engine to 4rmp and the noise goes away.
