Hi my 19 year old son lost the car key and the car remote attached to it as 1 unit. His mum ran over the spare key over a year or two ago with the lawnmower. Now we have one key but no fob attached to the key as per normal. Im hoping that i can open the car door ( drivers door) with that remaining key? In the ASX manual it shows a picture of a larger style remote like you showed in the glovebox up high enough to not be seen. If by any chance I can open the drivers door?? And the alarm starts blaring? Im hoping that i can turn the alarm off? But im not sure if Aussie version has the remote in the passenger glovebox as you mentioned? If not by any chance? Can i just disconnect negative battery terminal and leave it until someone can sort it out? Any reply appreciated as we have been looking everywhere for the key even tho i put a shiny anodised carabiner onto the second key but nothing. All gone! The lawnmower shredded key fob and plastic housing is gone but the key structurally is intact! Any reply appreciated as im balding by the minute! Lol. I was lost in the middle of the desert with 1 % on my phone and then I thought hold up the key. Carmen has a video that can solve my problem so I came right over to you too. With the last little bit of battery. I had a lift, and I saw this video a Spazz I can’t I didn’t watch the whole thing because you know he talks a lot but I got support and it’s show me exactly what I needed.
