Purchased: August 2023 - still works GREAT!I kzbin.infoUgkxxsUnXhGsSJLim_XnMHyQK0u3XVaW-CGn live in a studio and during the summer it gets scorching hot - really old building with no ac units. I can’t express how EASY it was to install. This unit has been a life savior during the summer and some days during other seasons where it can still be a bit warm at night. In this small place is my friend, a husky, poodle mix and myself. We need AC - lolI don’t use the dehumidifier option - I’m not sure if it will leak in my house, since I did not install the small draining hose that came with it. May look into it late but I don’t worry about much humidity in the apartment. I don’t understand why the negative reviews since all things mentioned, I personally did not find issues with. Definitely worth it!

*Used to supplement the up stairs when it gets hot outside this works very well and **Fastly.Cool** Also works good when the upstairs gets too hot in the Winter from the heater.*

I just installed (6) of these in a new 2600 sq ft home with a Hyper Heat condenser. I've never owned a home with every room, every corner exactly the same temperature... very quiet, my wife is thrilled

I have one of these in each of my bedrooms connected to a hyper heat condenser. Overall the system was exactly what I needed during my renovation - however the remote controller is not great and the room temperatures fluctuate way more than I anticipated. It’s very difficult to keep my baby’s room a consistent temperature without always playing with the settings. I can have the controller set on 68 in the winter time and it can be anywhere from 70-79 F.
@jwill9877
@jwill9877 3 жыл бұрын
Maybe it's just the controller and a matter of where you place it? Also there might be a workaround with a google nest and temperature dongle. Just have the wifi turn it on rather than the remote controller that comes with it. By the sounds of your review I still want to set my house up this way when I renovate it. Any other pros and cons?
@patrickzoppo9357
@patrickzoppo9357 3 жыл бұрын
@@jwill9877 it was way cheaper and less intrusive than an standard split system, I also got a rebate from national grid and financed the entire project with a 0% interest loan thru masssave. I don’t have any other cons besides the big fluctuation but I’m going to check out getting it set up with a WiFi control - good idea!

Is there any concern with failure of the small condensate pump. I worry about the potential damage to cieling wallboard ic it fails and condensate overflows the pan. Letting gravity move the gravity would be less complicated and less risky ... like traditional wall units

@@patrickzoppo9357 where is the thermostat located? If you’re depending on the unit body thermostat, you need a remote thermostat kit. Otherwise the unit is basically just measuring its own nearby air. Need to measure and control from another area in the room.

Very nice looking cassette. I think with a bit of due diligence on the drywall work, it is possible to install the trim completely flush.

Quick answer.. No. multiple direction air throw ceiling cassettes require at least 24” spacing

We did 3 18btu units with square ceiling cassettes. Like them, only wish fan would not run all time. Thought it would cut off when unit not cooling or heating, when in energy mode. But, it runs all time. Also, wished you could control air flow on one of the 4 sides that blow directly on the bed.

I have a newly installed MSZ-FH06NA head unit as part of a H2i system. It makes a slight constant rhythmic or pulsing sound from the inside head unit, it's not an air blowing sound. Is there a way to troubleshoot the source of the sound, for example by changing the unit fan or other settings? As it's a constant pulsing sound, I thought it might be the blower motor or blower wheel, if they operate continuously when the head unit is on. If I can eliminate this pulsing sound, the head unit would be almost silent, except when blowing air. Any suggestions?

I'm curious too. But the actual cassette probably doesnt need that much power. It just has to turn blower and vanes. Hopefully it's run from the condenser

I would not recommend buying this to instal. It very often simply doesn’t work, even when responding to remote. I’ve installed for heating and hvac and this unit is likely to leave your mother-in-law frozen in her room, with no signs it ain’t working until it’s 2am and the room is forming icicles.

I really wish you would have an American narrate the video. The info in the video is very confusing because it is written by a person who speaks Japanese, then translates it to English. As a result the video is poorly worded and confusing.
