@@theant9821 it's not only the number of titles that you should consider but rather the way they have won those titles (4 drivers championship,1 manufacturer's championship), Mitsubishi decided to stick with their own chassis despite the fact that everyone has shifted to wrc specific chassis and yet they had been successful. that just speaks for the level of engineering that they had put on the evo, its proven to compete and win titles on one of the highest form of motorsport activity and on my own opinion winning a manufacturer's title is more of a team effort being put together by both drivers unfortunately tommi makinen was the only one who was carrying the loads for Mitsubishi at the time compared to let say the team of Colin McRae and Richard burns.
@theant98214 жыл бұрын
@@osama1929 i know, but that was whichever brain donor decided to do away with Group A. The way? The integrale was fairly audacious in its own achievements. The integrale was getting long in the tooth by 1990 let alone its final championship in 1992, and it was almost won by a privately entered team without any manufacturer support in 1993 (the highest a car has ever finished in the constructors championship without manufacturer backing in the championship of any kind). That is not bad for a car that went into production in 1979 with an engine design that first went into production in 1966. Not bad, not half bad at all.

Nice Movie. Problem is that they dont make the EVO's anymore. Subaru is now in the lead and still making the Impreza STI. I wish Mitsubushi still continues making the EVO lineup models.
@GTContent7 жыл бұрын
Thanks! Yes, it's unfortunate that it's been discontinued, but let's not forget that we can still get them in the used market. As far as AWD competition goes, like you mentioned, we still have the STI, but there is also the Golf R and Focus RS.
@TheRealProski877 жыл бұрын
GT Content I dislike the new STi's look, the Golf R doesn't have any race history, and the Focus RS is literally like 3,800 lbs or something crazy. The Evo for me was the perfect balance of looks, weight, race history, and tech. It's upsetting that they're getting rid of all that to make lame SUV's that nobody wants.

Wish the Evo V was introduced in the US. Fell in love with it when featured in the movie "Legend of Speed." Those of us hungry for that version had to purchase kits and parts to replicate its exterior aesthetic and speed of the original model. IMO, that was the best iteration of the evo legacy. Nonetheless, each version had its own uniqueness.
