My CVT transmission on my Mitsubishi Outlander 2008 doesn’t shift gears automatically while on drive (D)mode it remains on 1st gear. When I use manual mode (+/-) gears shifts smoothly. Do you have an idea how to solve this issue ?

I wish you would do that to my 2007 Outlander. It's time. I hate it when I slow down to trun, the transmission kicks down a gear or two then it takes a second for it to "catch" causing it to jump.

I have a transmission CVT (gear slipping) for my 2015 Mitsubishi Outlander SE. I don't trust any transmission shops in my local area. I think you guys should move to here (USA). Do you have any suggestion to fix this problem, gear slipping? When the car increases speed from ~30-50 km/h, it will be noisier from engine if pressing hardly on the accelerator.

I think I have the same kind of issue. When I step on the gas pedal, I can hear the louder pitch. As long as I move my foot off, the higher pitch went away...

I went to the AAMCO transmission shop in Scottsdale, Arizona, in 2021 to replace my transmission with a ‘new’ one ($9,000) because it was close to my house, and they promised to complete the job quickly. However, this turned out to be the biggest mistake I’ve ever made. They did very poor-quality work, caused additional issues, and added extra costs. I would strongly discourage anyone from using AAMCO or similar shops for transmission replacement. Instead, I recommend reaching out to a Mitsubishi dealership for help. While they may not be as widely available in the U.S. as Toyota or Honda dealerships, I believe this is a much safer option that could save you time, money, and the risk of dealing with subpar work elsewhere.
