Can You Beat Skyrim Without Attacking Anything? (in text form)
The first thing I did to start this playthrough was start Skyrim if you can believe that, let the introduction play, ride into Skyrim on a wooden sled with wheels while I was off killing time by folding laundry. But Bootcamp sure does love to be a son of a and with me at all times. First it was not even letting me play Black Ops Cold War because the graphics processor was integrated into the mouse or some such nonsense, I don’t know computer that’s why I buy Mac. I ultimately chose a High Elf as my race for, uh, no particular reason really.
That was the first lie I’ve ever told in my life. I chose an Atmer named Long Al, that’s a callback to a big brain moment I had a few days ago, as my character because I had me a plan. And an almost decent one at that. They start with a 25 in Illusion and 20’s in Conjuration, Destruction, Restoration, Alteration, and Enchanting. If you’re wearing your thinking helmet right now, you might be able to see why I went with this race.
As I went to the block, I kept my eyes on a horse, I knew he wouldn’t let me down. After a brief glance away, my boy gone and grew up, Alduin arrived, and my big beautiful horse was nowhere to be found. Getting into the first Skyrim temple safehouse took no effort, I was set free of my chains and shackles or strings if you wanna be technical about it. It was here I implemented the first stage of my plan. But first, we must ask ourselves what an “attack” really is. Usually, in say Fallout 3 for example, an attack is pretty much doing anything to any other character besides talking to them, because Fallout 3 doesn’t have any weapons that I can think of that legitimately do 0 damage. Skyrim has those though, and there’s a way to prove it. Fury is a Novice Illusion spell that offers creatures and people up to level 6 a glimpse into the Bucket Dimension, something no mortal can handle, causing them to erupt in a blind rage and attack anything around them for 30 seconds.

You should use the Healing Hands spell to heal your companions instead of waiting for them to get back up

Unfortunately, the "spirit" of the run is to do nothing but talk. Non-damaging spells are used as sparingly as possible, but allowed when no other option remains. If a follower *can* get back up without a healing spell (since they can really only be killed by the PC), no need to heal them, thus making the run more legitimate.

I’ve got a doozy of a Skyrim challenge: can you beat Skyrim with a wooden sword? But wait, the wooden sword does the same amount of damage as a fork, so we need to add on to the challenge for the sake of entertainment. So on top of using a wooden sword, you also have to only bash with it, meaning you have the sword equipped but you can’t actually swing the weapon, only bash with it. This also adds the challenge of only using a single wooden sword, since you can’t bash while dual wielding. You have to use only one sword ever. Then, just because it still seems a little too easy, you have to also stay in third person at all times, besides when the game forces a first person perspective on you, which I think is only a couple times anyway.

Paul, if you ever try this, there are some foods that give you basically unlimited stamina. I'm pretty sure one of them is vegetable soup or something. It constantly regenerates stamina for like, 720 seconds, so as long as you have 1 point of stamina, you can keep bashing, power attacking, and sprinting for a pretty good amount of time.

Thats gonna be tough. Enemy Netrunners and enemies with Tech weapons are going to be such nightmares. A Netrunner just has to see you for a splitsecond to put an Overheat hack onto you and Tech weapons can pierce through walls.

This might've been easier with an imperial. Illusion can be fast leveled with the muffle spell with any race. There is a side quest with the college that gives you unlimited magic for 24 hrs (in game time) where you can spam the muffle spell to get illusion to 100. You can also legendary it to get it to 100 two or three times to get a bunch of level ups too. And that can be done with any race. Imperial will also have voice of the emperor AND they're decent in speech so you can get some perks in speech like persuade and intimidate so that dialogue might help you avoid combat too.

For Unrelenting Force, I believe the reason it did no damage to the Greybeards, is the same as how it does no damage to the guards at the watch tower when you kill the first dragon- the quests in place prevent any damage from being taken by those NPCs, they are essentially a free-pass. Everything outside of those quest objectives will still deal damage. I can't say an exact number, I know there's a small amount as I've tested it on Wolves before, but they also receive the standard environmental and thrown-off-a-mountain damage when applicable.
