I like the Captains plugins. I have a couple of other plugins that do this that work well and in a pinch ill drop my sample into Serato sample which does amazing pitch detection. I love that this can just listen at the desktop but its also a little pricey for a one trick pony like this.

Thanks Bolo, great video! Do you happen to know the difference between MIK Live vs MIK Studio Edition? From what I can tell Live is capable of monitoring ALL computer (Mac) audio whist Studio Edition will only work when in a DAW on a track or the master. Other than that I see no differences. If that's the case Live just made Studio Edition obsolete?

I can tap tempo in the midi keyboard or use My decks with Serato pro which has tempo detection but cost of that is around £500 or £200 for the keyboard so for many this plugin would be a better option plus it works withing your daw.

Yes I have had issues finding tempo in the past however I kinda just liston to the beat and then tap tempo on the midi keyboard, works most of the time.

Is there a opportunity in mixed in key to show the root note of melody samples or just the key and tempo? Need a plugin which analysis the sample and show the root notes of the chord progression for my 808s. Pls helppp
