However, following your climb and the beautiful videos you have created leaves me with no choice but to bow and let the master take it away. Thank you for bringing awareness to the topic and the cause of the Lees. Thank you for your work. I knew this one was going to hurt, but I didn't realize just how much. I'm the oldest of 3 brothers, and I lost my little brother when he was entirely too young. My deepest sympathy goes out to Christian and Angela, as I understand their pain all too well. I hope the Lee's find peace and comfort somewhere along the way. The pain never goes away, not really, but you find a way to survive it and live life in a way that your lost loved ones would be proud to see.

@MixedMartialAcademic Thank you, sir. I've seen people in that state of absolute, insurmountable hopelessness, and it IS heartbreaking. Unfortunately, because of the subject matter, there will always be people that will see Victoria's actions as "selfish" through their own biases, but anyone with an ounce of empathy can try to understand that she must have felt like there was no other way to escape her torment. As sad as this video was, I appreciate that you showed the empathy she deserves, and it's really amazing that you're helping others find the charity created in Victoria's honor and memory.

@@MixedMartialAcademic Angela Lee has never fought challengers in her prime; she faced has-been set up by One FC considering she was the face of the SEA MMA Franchise (her only fault was defeating people who was placed in front of her); maybe a few in their prime was placed by ONE Championship but she defeated them convincingly within Strawweight Division. Ultimately the parents could have played a part in the mental health; to not have a social life with friends (if they have friends to begin with is starting to question in my brain) - no kids or teenager would love to train MMA as teenagers have what we call adolescence as she wanted to die in the car crash; so ultimately she just masked her childhood trauma to MMA while the younger sister couldn't be as strong as her older sister Angela and subsequently taking her life as her older sister told the world via "The Player's Tribute" - a news outlet made for athlete to put out any articles they want. Ultimately the father played a part of the problem for both Angela and Victoria.. Angela was the stronger one in mentally with better support staff and her sister wasn't afforded the same as her older sibling who is champion in their own right. Some parents love to place their expectations on their kids; I am from an Asian household; my parents thankfully is not those Tiger parents expecting me to be a doctor/engineer/lawyer but in the case of the Lee family (the father wanted to be a MMA fighter but couldn't make the grade so he made his kids to do what he failed to do) Not a shade towards Angela Lee nor Christian Lee :)

I still remember the tears I had watching Angela announce her retirement to fully dedicate herself to FightStory. I cried even more watching Stamp become a true successor to her hero. I don't really believe in fate, but Angela was meant for this. And Victoria was meant for her story to inspire an entire organization and those close to her to help others learn how to dig deep and seek the help they need. Their whole family, including Victoria, are champions way brighter than any gold on any belt.

I grew up fighting, boxing and did some mma fights and climbes as well took some falls in which my head bounced off the rock on the way down. I won't hit anyone in the head foe any reason other than self defense or mutual combat. The brain was not meant to be bounced off the inside of the skull and it is very difficult within the American Healthcare system to even differentiate between mental illness and the after effects of brain damage. What is known is TBI and PTSD have the same symptoms but the latter can be helped with counseling and the brain damage can only be helped with testosterone or other hormones or steroids and amphetamines and that is where having the government involved in medical treatment is insane. People who suffered head blows and are having mental illness there is a huge chance the mental illness is due to damage to the glands inside the brain that regulate hormones and other neurotransmitters. The only thing that is going to fix that is testosterone or hormones and amphetamine American doctors can't get away with that unless the patient is wealthy and does not need to use health insurance. So doctors fold to the DEA and allow these fighters to become depressed and suicidal and can't remember their kids names instead of using the one treatment that brings them back to normal. This is the reason older fighters do steroids and why older fighters make comebacks. They are self medicating using illegal steroids and street drugs because doing that makes them feel normal.and happy. There is no reason not to actually treat people who have suffered head blows in the one way we know works. It is a inessasary tragedy.

Very nice touch with the vibes on telling a difficult story, I was all sorts of cry mush face. Their story is so powerful. Fighters go deep in the pursuit of their dreams, perhaps with an invisible weight on their shoulders that is breaking their back while they must still project strength. That part where Stramp say she wasn't good and Angela comforted her got me, people can be really lovely kind creaturea sometimes. I want to be more that way.

I watched this story unfold over the last year or so. You are strong people, true warriors.

I'm not even an MMA fan but everything about how this videos is produced and the way you tell a story make it so powerfully relevant to anyone. This video brought up a ton of emotions for me. I have had my own battles with addiction and suicidal ideation much of my life. I have done a ton of work over the last year and I recently passed the 6 month mark of sobriety from drugs and alcohol. In August of last year I wrote a suicide note and intended to take my own life. Fortunately I had a support network of people I had met in recovery and was able to hang on. I recently finished an intensive outpatient program and finally feel as though I have the tools to battle my disease. I have felt meaningless, less than, and alienated my whole life. But recently I can start to say that I love myself without the intrusive thoughts lying to me. To anyone reading this who has the disease I pray that you find salvation and know that you are worthy of self-love.
