While we were on vacation in Hawaii we got to use my mother-in-law's pristine 2008 Lexus GX470 V8 SUV.
I have a feeling these old V8 SUV's will become very collectible when they ban V8 manufacturing in the near future. Some states have plans to ban all gas vehicle sales by 2030. This is going to make these old V8's instant highly sought after classic cars that make a lot of noice, pollution and piss people off!!!!! Its going to be awesome to watch.

That’s a clean GX! I have a 2000 Lexus LX470, I don’t think I’ll ever get rid of it haha! It’s so comfy off-roading! I think the GXs are called Landcruiser Prado in other countries.

I think the RSCF thingy turns off the airbags when off roading, I believe our 2007 Sequoia has it.

I went to Maui and Kuai (my wifes father is from Kauai) this past summer with my entire family and in laws. I never saw so many Toyota products (official trucks of terror cells, Rebel groups and SOCOM lol) in such a small place (outer islands). My wife and I went to celebrate 12 years of marriage also. She said, watching this over my shoulder, that was her dream SUV when she was in the Airforce. We're a Toyota family too. Great upload Battle. FYI, my wife says your Mother in Law has nice plants in her garden and her mom puts fencing around hers too in Elk Grove.

They used to grow more fruits and veggies when we lived there. The biggest avocados I’ve ever seen. He still grows pineapples. It’s impressive how much money they make selling their free fruits at the local farmers market.

@@mixflip 💯. My mom has a younger sister, my Auntie Apples (aplolonia) lives on Guam. Her husband, uncle Rubing (Reuben) is a retired Navy chief and retired from their Naval Base there and was raised there. I saw avocados there the size of softballs when I visited on the way back from a coalition forces training called Balikatan in 2002, chasing Abu Sayeff. Also their avocados are yellow inside abd I was there during the summer, Caribao and Philippine Mangos. My father in laws family has huge Lanka and Guyabano eating and cooking bananas and my favorite ampayala (bitter melon). My wife has a green thumb too. We have Opo, calamansi, lemons and veggies in our little back yard. Nice chatting battle. We have to go inspect fire plugs.

confirmed these GX are tanks and legit landcruisers. weve got a newer blackline and its fantastic. you do still see a bunch of these older style 470s on oahu still when not a ton were sold originally indicating their long service lives and quality of product.

I have a 13 gx460 it's a lot like the fj has the same frame. I got power 3rd row seats and rear climate

I bought the 13 4runner limited new and should have waited a month for the 14 GX460. Either brand is near bullet proof. Still today no problems at all. Gas up and change the oil is all I do to it besides a set of new brakes and rotors and on it’s 3rd set of tires. RSCA off deactivates the side curtain air bag when off roading, incase anyone has not mentioned it. Home link can be a all day battle if it does not want to connect, been there too many times 😅.

@@kickazzdrummer666 I also own a Lexus GX470 and it’s a great SUV but my Jeep has a max coverage lifetime warranty so if I don’t total it it will keep running as long as I keep running .
