Mixing Rock with REAPER Stock Plugins

In this video I'm mixing a rock song with just a handful of REAPER plugins. Luckily the recorded tracks are in great shape to start with so this wasn't too difficult of a challenge.

yet most of these tutors have noobie hands, afriad of decisions like they might break thier config by mistake... true, it is reaper so that is possible but still, thats not normal. even pensado waves has more action. and those columbian maid levels of clean... no one mixes there. ever. and if there isnt a tech chained to the back of the console flipping out burnt cap all day, that console is gutted and making for a conversation piece.

Amazing mix, so talented. sometimes we think we need the expensive plugins to sound good (sometimes it's true) but focusing on what to do with what we have first is better and then upgrade, great song also.

Great video. I'm planning to try out Reaper and this is an excellent insight into the workflow and some of the techniques. I'm still a DAW novice, but I was able to get a lot out of this.

Usually not in reaComp, it just seems a bit louder than it should be. Auto gain on and -3dbfs wet seems to work

You can use folders as a bus or create a bus separately. In reaper a bus is just a track that you send audio through. More info kzbin.info/www/bejne/fmmle5uAn8x2n6c
