I think you could also exchange the Line node with a Curve one in order to fully keep shape control and shorten your tree. Muchas gracias por el tutorial Varomix :).
@MIXTraining7 жыл бұрын
José Amilcar but if you edit the curve before the twist you'll make a mess 😉
@joseamilcar40957 жыл бұрын
You're right! Haven't thought of that before. Even though you can twist it enough to keep the curve's shape, you won't get the intended look.
@MIXTraining7 жыл бұрын
you could twist other curves along the first curve, but that requires VEX for sure :) maybe I'll make that version later
@blikpils7 жыл бұрын
or you can just take a completely different approach with a sweep. this took me 2 min to make : imgur.com/a/of7gO

@varomix7 жыл бұрын

@joseamilcar40957 жыл бұрын

QUESTION! is there a way to make the rope follow text (have the text itself hidden), and have it spell out the text? Like have the rope dropping and do a camera reveal that it says something like "Starius" or whatever. JW cause i think that'd be an amazing effect for video entrances for me
@MIXTraining7 жыл бұрын
Sure you could do that, there's a few ways you could do it, I think the simples would be to do it in reverse, have the rope shaped as the text and the simulate from there and then reverse the sim.

But why? Wouldn't it be more logical to do completely opposite way? To draw a line/curve, make 3-point circle with ID attribute on every original point, they sweep/copy it to points on that line with slight rotation every time, and then connect point based on the attribute? And polywire it. This way we always have the basic line/curve to do whatever we want with the rope.
@MIXTraining7 жыл бұрын
well, that's more "logical" if that's what you need or that's how you think, I can think of 5 more way to do it, doesn't mean one is better than the other is just different way to do it, maybe you don't need to modify the original curve, it all depends on the use you'll give it and what works for you., thank you
