Chris Stapleton has that gift. His not a country singer, blues singer,or a soul singer, he's what I call a singer, he does it all

Chris a singer-songwriter, guitarist, and record producer. As of 2018, Stapleton has amassed credits writing and co-writing over 170 songs. He has co-written six number-one country songs including Kenny Chesney's five-week number-one "Never Wanted Nothing More", Josh Turner's "Your Man", George Strait's "Love's Gonna Make It Alright", and Luke Bryan's "Drink a Beer". His songs have appeared on many artists' albums including Adele, Kelly Clarkson, Brad Paisley, Dierks Bentley, and Taylor Swift. He has co-written with several artists as well including Vince Gill, Peter Frampton, Sheryl Crow, and Ed Sheeran. I couldn't find a current number for writing or co-writing credits but it's surely north of 200. Interestingly, with all of his talents, he didn't think he could be a solo artist. His wife had to work on him quite a bit before he decided to give it a go!

I was lucky enough to see Chris Stapleton in concert this year. I have never been to a "country" concert before, but Chris brought in the most diverse crowd I have ever seen there. He is so amazing.

Chris does not have an orchrester usually him and 1-4 of instrumentalists. This was a Grammy awards show and they are always over the top. Chris makes you feel everything without added BS. E1 of his songs will touch you. Thank God his wife Morgane talked him into sharing his song writing, vocal abilitiies and music with the world. Masterful !

I’ll throw in my introduction to Chris- Nothing Compares 2 U. You know you have something special when an artist is willing to cover Aretha, The Godfather, and Prince live. But sometimes you want to focus on where the song takes you, and Chris may be an even better writer than performer. I’ll try and keep the studio list short(or if you see one with just the man and his guitar)- Whiskey and You, Daddy Doesn’t Pray Anymore, Either Way, Death Row, Nobody’s Lonely Tonight, and You Should Probably Leave.
