In regards to Iori’s shack, it’s mentioned in SR that the Ogasawara clan (who adopted his little sister Kaya after Musashi’s death) have an open offer for Iori to be a bodyguard, but he doesn’t want to take it until he’s mastered Musashi’s teachings. That seems to be one of the many small divergences he took to his historical self.

Let it be known that this man -As Human survived a confrontation against Heian's Finest -Put up a good match against The Strongest Japanese Servant anyone can summon normally -Won against Musashi who as a Human survived the 7 Heroic Swordsman -Added to that, the Man combined the best of both worlds of Sasaki's Technique and Musashi's Style If Manaka doesn't exist, he'd undoubtedly be the Strongest Master to date in a straight up fights

Can he fight Sieg in his dragon form which is Fafnir or not? Is Fafnir Sieg as strong as OG Fafnir?

@@owo4288End of Series Sieg, no. He can win or even put up a good fights against a Number of Servants only if its Skills only. The moment they start using Nukes and what not, he's screwed

His kit is modern Saberlot. They even have the exact same passives; the only things Saberlot has over him is 20% more crit damage and EAM's ridiculous absorption, which is mostly a novelty nowadays. I love that his 3rd append skill thematically makes him the best built for Saber "duels."

Iori's power makes sense when you consider that by the end of the Waxing Moon Ritual he was able to fight on par with actual Servants including his own

Iori's kit is so bloated he actually looks like a 5* and not a welfare unit. Definitely one of the best they have released in a very long time. As for the time period in which Mr. Psycho lived, well, that was the actual beginning of the end of the samurai classes. The iron fist with which the Tokugawa dominated for almost 300 years meant that most of those guys were just overglorified parasites with nothing to do. Hell, there are actual accounts of how the heirs of these families by the mid of the 18th century had forgotten how to put on the armors of their ancestors (yeah, those badass looking armors that you all know about, in which they are sitting on top of a chair sporting a demon mask? Welp, seems the original owners did not leave the manual instructions with them) for when the rare battle ocassionally sprouted. That is also a huge reason why the Shinsengumi is so romanticized, because it was a corps that (seemingly) tried to revive the fighting spirit associated with the old samaurais, even if they were just a bunch of thugs.
