The Card Game finally did it. You can finally put Ice and Wind into Fire, or use Thunder and Darkness with the power of Light. And, because of how Susanoomon works, there's ACTUAL benefits to doing it, too! If you use every Tamer card (Takuya/Koji, Tommy, Zoe, J.P., and Koichi) you can evolve Takuya/Koji into Susanoomon and put the four side characters under Susanoomon to play it for 2 cost. Then, Takato/Koji's effect allows it to attack, dealing 4 hits of damage (you start the game with 5 hits of health) while putting all the Tamer cards under your own Security Stack to give you an extra 4 hits of health before the real attack hits for another point. It can ALMOST one shot someone, but it takes a stupid amount of setup. Also, Susanoomon can delete one Digimon per attack, which grows more powerful the more other spirits are under Takuya/Koji when it evolves out of them. At 5, you can evolve the Tamer into either MagnaGarurumon or EmperorGreymon directly for pretty cheap. But with 10 Digimon under the card, or if they're at either of the mentioned forms, they can evolve into Susanoomon for free when an opponent attacks to delete a target before they can react to you. However, unfortunately, without using an Option Card to get all the other Tamers under him, Susanoomon can only deal an extra hit of damage once while putting the Tamer under your Security for just one point of recovery. Still a good effect and a good use of the Digimon, but it's not nearly as insane as doing 4 free hits at once while gaining 4 hit points yourself when everyone works together. Worth noting, all the new Spirit Digimon/Tamers are also either their color + Red or Yellow, meaning they can evolve from or out of their own groups pretty easily for better synergy overall. Like I said, you're incentivised to use EVERY member of the team at once for massive rewards, and that's honestly really rad! EDIT: Quick correction, I forgot Takuya/Koji count among the 5 you move from Susanoomon. So it actually CAN straight-up one-shot the enemy, you just need to get literally every single Tamer in the group under it somehow, lol!

Yeah, I love the theme but I really hated that about the show. Although, on the other hand, it made me respect the Royal Knights especially after they showed up in Savers

Kinda makes more believable them getting more accustomed to fighting and, at last, defeating the RKs than getting some sort of powerup right after their fight against kerpymon.

They didn't lose since like their 3rd encounter, since the RK started to use underhanded tactics to get them to lower their guards and/or sneak attack them.

@@3miL_2012 the royal knights are warriors whose sole purpose is being the final line of defense to protect the digital world. they make even the original legendary 10 warriors look like a joke there was 0 way Takuya and Koji were going to or had any right to beat them on their first try

I can see how the excessive losses to the same opponents would frustrate a lot of people during that arc and the power scaling was very bad because excluding the losses, I don’t dislike the arc. But its sad that seeing the characters being used as an liability instead of supporting and the favoritism of Takuya and Kouji must of felt frustrated to those who loved characters like JP, Tommy and etc because of their treatment, lack of character writing and underutilized. Takuya Kanbara is my favorite character but I wholeheartedly agree that they should have balanced and monopolize their other characters as well!!! 🫠🤷🏻‍♀️

Well, the power up system is the problem. If the most powerful forms needs the spirits of the others, it is a foregone conclusion that only 2 can have the spotlight.

@@Naluh well, you could kinda say it uses a base spirit but combines with the others to reach a further form (Base Fire + others to hit Hyper fire). If that was the case, I'm sure you could get away with using different base spirits to get forms for the others from a lore-explanation perspective. Either way though, it's a shame that the others don't even get a double spirit form.

Well, this is a problem with Frontier's writing in general, forsaking the partners to make the children turn into Digimon, it just snowballed into the 'only the two main characters can have ultimate forms.' In Adventure, at least, no one would have been able to achieve their ultimate forms, needing a prophecy and two angels to make Wargreymon and Metalgarurumon. In Frontier, as you stated, technically speaking anyone can achieve the ultimate form, just needing to change who is the base.

Technically speaking, doesn't matter which warriors fuse, the fusion of the ten warriors will always end being susanoomon. So, even if you can combine five of them as you want, the resulting digimon will always have to relate to kaisergreymon and magnagarurumon in some way. Though I don't think it was that bad, what bothers me is they didn't give everyone the double spirit evo. Kaiser and Magna would've been fine if all the kids joined in the evolution as well instead of waiting till last fight to do that.

@@user_unknownpal Kaiser and Magna were what we ended up getting, but lore-wise it could easily have been explained as base spirit + others which would open up the possibilities of other hyper forms. Kaiser and Magna weren't the only ancient Digimon, there's no reason to restrict it to those two

To be honest, I didn’t mind the second half of Digimon Frontier but I can understand why many wouldn’t like because I find it weird how long it took to fight and Cherubimon when it should’ve been earlier. And I know many people didn’t like how Takuya and Koji got additional forms while the remaining cast didn’t which I agree it was a missed opportunity but my counterargument it was more so Seraphimon and Ophanimon’s fault considering they used up the last of their energy at the time. And I know the moment that Dynasmon and Crusadermon (LordKnightmon) is were they really focused on Takuya and Koji instead of the others which I know a lot of people found it but my question to everyone is would the others fair much better against the knights. I don’t mind Takuya and Koji during the final arc but at least you could of focused on Koichi, JP and the others while making them feel like a proper team instead of a liability and losing for five episodes straight is not the most exciting to watch and I agree it was rushed but I still liked the arc and I personally found it very fun to revisit the terminals/villages we have met towards the beginning of the series. It’s not perfect by any means but at least better than the finale of Adventure 02 which I know a lot of people loathe that finale. 💀🤣 #digimon
