@@gabeowings5192also MuOS lets you create your own folder structure, which I absolutely love! I hate to be bound by the folder structure of a firmware. I also especially hate when you can‘t just plug your SD card into your PC and feed it with games. Everything else is to cumbersome and slow!

So I got two days ago and spent all day yesterday tinkering around. My unit is the gray matte from the initial official batch and it has the same things inside. My thoughts on it in order of what you are talking and they seem to be the same: -Texture feels great but some smudges can be seen. -Mine didn't warm up at all playing 2-3 hours of Nes games with shaders on, the plus does warm up a bit. -Buttons feel waaay better than they look. -I don't care about the sticks at all as I mostly play 2D games on my retro handhelds, but they do the job and are there for people that want em. -Shoulder buttons aren't the best due to the form factor imo you can get some missinputs on the L1/R1 when reaching for the L2/R2, but nothing to lose sleep over. -Hinge is stiff, but that is a good thing imo as it makes the device feel more solid. -The screen is good but the MiyoMini plus is a bit better imo (only noted side by side), it is a bit brighter with better colors and whiter whites. You can check on reddit a comparison pic I posted. -Only defect for me so far is that my Sandisk Extreme 128Gb card could only be read from the right sd slot for some weird reason. The original sd works fine. Can't seem to figure out the reason. In the end it will come down to the software, as it is the official one feels pretty wonky, especially when playing around with shaders and filters and I can't seem to get Retroachievements to work. With the hardware they did a really good job imo, they took their sweet time and it seems Miyoo delivered. Put onion on it and it will be the definitive mini device.

Looks like a winner, and it is clear that Miyoo put a lot of time into making this a great handheld. Very impressive how much they packed into such a compact size. I don't know that I'd use the analog sticks much but it is good they are there. If I didn't already have a RG35XXSP, I'd probably pick this up instead.

I noticed something a bit weird on the d-pad, would you be so kind as to check it on your full review? Try keeping pressure down on the d-pad while quickly changing direction between left and right (kind of sliding the finger over the d-pad instead of letting one side go before pressing the opposite side). The character will face the correct (new) side but not walk. It is almost as if the first direction registered the "press" and the "hold" but then the second direction registers the "press" but not the "hold". Then you have to let go the d-pad and re-press the same direction for the character to keep walking. Any game seems to be affected so this could be a firmware issue. About the sleep function: it is rock solid, the system stays in sleep mode all the time (not powered down) and the battery barely goes down, only around 1% every few hours. (as always thank you for the videos)

The Portuguese in question is Brazilian Portuguese because Brazil is a huge market in the gaming scene, that's why in the last 10 - 15 years basically every game not only have PT-BR translation but are also fully voiced in the bigger games. And since the country is also one of the biggest markets for Aliexpress these Chinese companies probably picked up really quick that they should put the language in their software.

In terms of the textures, I think the black and white models would be best for customization. The surface would make it easier for decals, skins, and stickers to stick onto the device. Just something to keep in mind considering these retro handhelds are so customizable!

Regarding charging, as someone with experience in electronics, you can use a higher amp charger, as long as you keep 5 volts. The amps stated in the charger are its maximum power, but it will send less if your device doesn't require that much. Voltage, on the other side is a fixed unit and using higher has the potential to ruin a device.

I picked one of these up as soon as they went on sale simply because I had wanted a folding device for a while and seeing this one with the analog sticks made me decide to jump on it. (I had been very close to buying the Ambernic already.) My feeling about the analog stick is that it's nice to have the option there even if it isn't used too much. It doesn't hurt that I've been pretty happy with the controls on the other Miyoo devices I've had as well and I like they always include cases. As for right now, mine is just sitting in said case as I'm waiting for better firmware to use it.

I have the yellow Miyoo Flip and its not even close to the same yellow as the Miyoo mini. Its a great device and has replaced my rg35xxsp as my everyday handheld moving forward. MinUI released for this and there is also a beta version of GammaOS. Im sure its a matter of time before the other CFW starts rolling out. Excited for the future of this handheld.

The top right and left hand bumpers on the RG35XXSP protrude out with a rounded finish while the rest of the silicone screw covers are flush with the frame. That’s why you get that satisfying thud when you close it. I wonder if the bumpers on the Flip are in backwards or if they are just naturally like that…hope to get my hands on the snes themed model soon!

They did make the Retroid flip which is basically a Retroid pocket 4 with a single wide screen and a clamshell design. Much more juice than this one but you have to deal with Android. Hope that helps.

As an early adopter of the RG35XXSP, I'm interested to see how this handles heat and battery charging. While I've had no major issues with the device, it does get a little warm, especially when charging it. What I did notice on the Miyoo Flip is the little vents in the casing, so I'm interested to see the teardown to see how it handles heat. Quiet buttons are also a plus vs RGSP, even with the tape mod installed. If I do end up getting one, I'll probably give the RG35XXSP to a friend or something and it'll be when there's CFW available. Also it'll be the yellow one.
