Nice test guys. Glad you noticed the loft difference - we could trick a few more yards out of a 6 iron by bending it a few more degrees (but that's not the Mizuno way). The feel will be different to an iron like the MP-5's as the face is thinner.......that's more of a factor than the material itself. The Boron just allows us to manufacture a thinner faced forging. Anyway - nice swinging Rob.

Still 2 degrees stronger than my old MX 15s. Miss the more traditional lofts of the MX 15 but I’m enjoying the EZ Forged.

I bought the JPX-EZ forged irons a couple of weeks ago. I have played several rounds and practiced at the range with them. They are excellent clubs and I am very happy I bought them. Cheers.

Rob and Rick are so great together. Keep up the great work guys. As for Mizunos, you are correct. There is no feel like a well struck Mizuno iron. The feel and strike just differ from the other manufacturers. I play the Bridgestone J40 cavity back irons and they are very close in feel. I really enjoy watching the reviews and the knowledge Rob/Rick articulate to the audience. Thanks again.

I play the Mizuno JPX-850s forged. They were my first set of irons that I've bought with my specs and they were the first clubs I tested prior to getting fit. The first buttery hit I had with them gave me goosebumps, and that had me hooked since then. Another friend of mine tested the Titleist AP1/2 and he let me hit one. I have to be honest and say that the Titleist did feel softer, but it wasn't the feel I enjoyed. Another friend of mine has played for years, mostly with Callaways and Titleist clubs. He hit my Mizunos and couldn't put them down. I think people buy clubs due to price, looks, popularity, feel and performance. If you like the clubs, you may think they feel better.
@carvin69thinline658 жыл бұрын
I am in the market for another set of irons. These and the XR Pros were my two choices. Since I will buy them used and have them tweaked for my settings the Mizunos win because they are forged and will take to bending more safely. It's brilliant seeing a regular golfer like Rob featured on these videos. Keep it up.

I have Mizuno JPX-Ezs and love them. i was fitted professionally and tried many different clubs to see which i hit best. I ended up with MIzuno's and at that point wasn't a huge fan, but after playing with them... all i can say is they are fantastic!

Just put these in the bag replacing a set of Wilson Fg Tour. Not playing as much golf as i used to so was struggling with forgiveness on the Fg Tour on non center strikes. Only played 3 rounds with these but already love that extra bit of forgiveness I get out of them but still feel lovely.

Can you review some Wilson Staff clubs? Having a family and money being a little tight, I always go for what I would term "best value"--performance for the price. At least in the US, often WS is priced a little less than the big names. I'm curious to see what you and Rob think of them. Anyway, great video as always!

I really love my jpx850 forged, boron supposed to make the steel stronger not harder, mine are very soft but with a perimeter weighted iron like these and many others they just are not going to feel quite as soft as a blade or any iron with more weight behind the ball. there is always gonna be a little trade off

Great review rob! And Rick, I played taylormade rocketbladez tour for two years earlier this is I wanted to dial in my shots ( was losing far to many shots long.) went and got fitted wanting a softer feel and something with more grab on the green. Tried the ap2 716, psi forged and mizuno mp-25. The mp-25 came out on top, more consistent with flight and spin And was stopping on a dime! Currently going through a rough patch with my irons but getting everything back, and loving my mizuno's!

I have these clubs. I feel the same way, they have good distance without jacking up the lofts, and they feel great for a middle ground between super game improvement and blades. Mizuno did well with these. They wear well too, still look classy used. Lose the dark look but still awesome.

I agree that the Boron has taken away the normal super soft feel of Mizuno..... Even though it`s a fantastic club I believe Mizuno should stick to what they do best and make super feeling irons.
@cwugrad3968 жыл бұрын
I hit the previous JPX clubs when they first started using the boron and I felt they compromised on the feel for some extra distance so I went with something else at that time in the Mizuno line
@ericbriggs73838 жыл бұрын
I agree completely. After hitting some of the softer Mizuno MP's these new JPX's feel pretty clicky. I love that they keep more honest lofts and think Mizuno fans don't care much about added distance so Mizuno should just take it back to their traditional ways in the JPX line.
