Denver Nuggets coach Mike Malone recently said that Michael Jordan's "killer instincts" makes him the GOAT, even though Malone used to help coach LeBron during his time in Cleveland. Here why Skip Bayless agrees with Malone's statements.

It's going to be the topic forever because Skip Bayless doesn't know sports. He has a handful of favorite athletes that he will defend with some of the dumbest arguments and create the most asinine rhetoric (that people will blondly follow) but he doesn't know anything about sports. That's why when Shannon asked him a direct question related to something that happened in sports that will discredit his argument he ignores or immediately changes the subject. That's why at least once per show hes going to say "I had the privilege of covering one Michael Jeffrey Jordan as a writer in Chicago I know because I was there". So because he doesn't know sports Shannon is stuck having the same conversation with skip day in and day out.

Thomas Sankara as I said it’s a team game bro my comment says that I give lebron a pass for losing because his firepower was next to nonexistent but nobody keeps that same energy with Jordan when he went against the bucks who were a top defensive team then lost to the best Celtics team that ever existed but dropped 63 on all five of their starters but he was alone in those years. But 84-85 he may have had a trash record but still led them to the playoffs granted it was in the east. Same the next year but as they say beat who’s in front of you but if I’m missing something here that season without Jordan they were on track to miss the playoffs badly but with him inserted back in (on minute restrictions) he took them to the playoffs. We can both say this and say that but both of these guys teams were terrible without them due to terrible front offices so on and so forth. But also when lebron got two all stars he won two chips when he guaranteed 8, terry in 2011, refused to take charge on offense only had 8 points in a critical part of the series etc etc. also when Scottie pippen was the only other all star on his roster they three peated so what’s your point that Jordan couldn’t win alone?
@devontaelafleur3841
@devontaelafleur3841 4 жыл бұрын
Thomas Sankara lets keep it a buck he wasn’t beating the 59 win Milwaukee bucks team who were i think top five in defense that year with nobody stop underrating the team to. 1987 again the Celtics with four hall of famers on that roster and he dropped 35 ppg on 41% and Charles Oakley was his second best player with 15. so if you wanna play that game lebron couldn’t win more than 2 chips with a stacked team once pippen matured and was able to help they three peated. Also what was in Jordan’s path the Celtics bad boys and that bucks team who were some of the best of the decade. That finals run was against a pistons team with no Ben Wallace who was their rock in the paint and a weak nets and wizards team this lack of great competition showed once he reached the finals he got swept.

LeBron got to the Finals as a 22 year old with one former All-star on the whole damn team. Michael Jordan barely got out of the first round without a Top 50 player all-time. I think that Jordan's individual excellence is beyond that of LeBron, and I do think MJ is the GOAT, but LeBron is such a capable team player that his team achievements (carting the Cavs to the finals in 2007 and 2018) are leagues ahead of Jordan.

Greatness is measured by performing at the highest level on the biggest stage. No ifs and no buts. Plain and simple. And the biggest stage is the NBA Finals, wherein, you just have to completely outdo your opponents no matter who they are and what they do in order to win that stage. Jordan had been in the finals, and in every single time, he handled all the pressure, take on the responsibility and overtook all of his opponents. Lebron had also been in the finals, but he didn't show at all times the needed attitude and mindset in order to win completely. The thing is.. both have faced obstacles in the finals. And only MJ showed how to surpass those obstacles consistently and flawlessly.

That's why he never develop a midrange shot, never worked on foot work to get separation, never had true grit to be a leader, never carried a team and drag them to victory without someone bailing him out, never upped his ball handling skills, never can count on him in the clutch moments, as a matter of fact they change the clutch time backwards to 5 minutes just to make Lebron look like he is clutch. Why would they do all this if he was good??? Because if you would have given Michael Jordan all this help he wouldn't lose at all , he would have been 13 straight years with championships. Anyone that puts Lebron over MJ needs to understand they are in the extreme minority - 90 percent of the population agree that MJ is the GOAT (by far). 9 percent say it’s Kareem, Wilt, Oscar, Kobe or someone else. 1 percent say it’s Lebron.

How about Jordan playing an old Lakers team & Magic giving it to Mike in game 1 so Pippen had to start guarding him.....

Whenever i watch Lebron play, i need to PRAY and hope he turns it on. He is a hit and miss in his killer mentality. When you put Jordan in the game, you knew it was definitely ON. Plus Jordan had that aura that everyone and even opponents felt while playing with him. Lebron, isnt someone who I’d say to my son to “go and watch this guy”. Lebron is great but he lacks the flare, charisma, and killer insticnt. Jordan had that all the time and it was worth it.

LeBron is not that exciting to watch---not taking anything away from his game/skills though. With MJ, he was one of the most exciting players to play ANY sport so you didn't want to miss his games at all.

@@jtremaine23 totally agree. Lebron isn't like someone I'd ask myself, " what is he gonna do today?" People set alarms and skip class or work to watch Jordan. You didn't want to miss it.

Its so pathetic/funny how every argument that lebrons haters have start getting crazier and crazier. Judges him for seeking better team because the cavs didnt help him at all. Then for a teameffort. Then for losing to superteams. Then for not making the playoffs while injured. And now all theyve got is the mentality. While lebron has the best elimination game stats. More playoff clutch shots, on a better percentage

The only reason this debate is being brought up is because LeBron is a current player and he has close enough statistics and accolades across the board, but in reality this ain’t even close. Mike the greatest ever and most influential player in sports history.

@@lamarmclin6820 Did Jordan ever play teams like the Spurs or Warriors ? No. The East was weak back then too. The Knicks needed 6 quarters to score 100 points, the Pacers had Reggie Miller and role players, Detriot and Boston got old. When they had competition they got put out on 6 games by the Orlando Magic led by Penny and Shaq. Lebron is not the GOAT but i saw that man score 25 straight points against the Pistons in the playoffs. If that's not an example of a killer instict, then explain to me why.
