I agree with your comment. I've been building older hgs like the hg gp-03, the old hg would be immediately invalidated, but some tlc can really make any kit amazing

When the build series decides to go all in when it comes to unique and interesting designs that hearkens back to whatever the referenceing that's when the series gets my approval instead of just lazily taking what worked for the original thing the referencing and that's it. This is definitely an interesting fusion of my favorite wing suit that they took inspiration from but also the big bad mobile suit from g gundam. While the kit definitely has issues that make it what it is at least it has a cool unique presence that it doesn't really hinder the design all that much. Great job is always and a perfect fit since we're near Halloween!

Plastic injection management is the minor reason why the big fingers are hollow, also the plastic weight is manageable so it will not sag off moveable parts. The open shoulder hatch screams Shining Gundam super mode but with evil eyes heheh. The big gundam heads though, i can imagine creating a Seravee Backpack heads with longer necks gives me interesting monster ideas though.

I wasn't thinking of getting this kit before but seeing that it has revolvers might've actually improved my thoughts on it by a lot. I'm a huge fan of Gundams with revolvers/pistols.

Great review! Gundam The End is honestly quite a fascinating kit, it embodies a lot of the themes of a build fighters kit while keeping the kit's construction (relatively) simple. It does make me yearn for a proper modern devil gundam kit though.

The only thing I'd say could improve this kit is if there were some pink pieces for the venting. Otherwise, it's a very creative kit with tons of potential

Man, my copy didn't age well. In particular, the backpack connector went loose the most. And what's worse is I broke the connectors that let you close the wings to form the cloak mode.

I definitely need to get me a new one of this one. My previous one broke from when I was trying to use it as a Halloween decoration. I did not fasten it securely 😅. Aside from that, to anyone who reads this comment, I HIGHLY recommend using a hobby knife to separate the fingers on the big hands. It really enhances them with extra articulation and doesn't mess anything up.

Seems like someone's got the gist of what I was trying to do for the past 5 reviews (edgy units for Halloween/October). I'm sorry that yours broke from doing that exact thing though. Also yes, I did separate the fingers in the video, which is a massive upgrade. And now that I have more skills compared to when I got my old copy, I'm even happier that the separation went smoothly unlike back then

@mj2005gundam yup, I saw that just after my comment. Gundam The End, along with Deathscythe and it's alternatives, and the Master Gundam all make good Halloween suits. And yeah, separating the fingers is definitely a massive upgrade. While I can understand why Bandai molded them as 2 solid pieces, it's still weird why they didn't mold them separately (or made it easier to separate them, as it can feel like you're about to brake them or something, but it is rather sturdy plastic)

Because it does use 00, the shoulder hands are clearly built out of the Arche sideskirts, and it also shares some 00 design aspects in the shaping of some of the parts. Also the color scheme is Throne Eins. Saga was just more creative in his choices when designing the suit, over the Transient and G Portent being basically just bootleg 00 suits
