You can use an xt60 to xt30 adapter and eliminate the need for soldering. Also ...the controller has a built in low voltage alarm. The audible warning beeps allow for plenty of time to get the Bugs to the ground...Thanks

I still run the bugs or the Force 1 drone bundle I use a 2200 mah 3s 120c lipo daily theses drones are so capable of this needs good air flow to cool the escs cut are bent in your canapy works so good no heat issues no burned out esc. Great thanks my very favorite manual controlled drone and double the speed on 3s need good try props.

@@guitarguyf16 no not yet im looking to do the right thing not the wrong thing only thing i have done is update better battery and changed out one of the motors cuz it didnt have the punch like it should have.

I painted the 4 cover clips red it ain't a big deal but it stands out. I wanted red light for the rear but instead of replacing the blue lights I drilled a hole in the tail section at the top.I used a LED from another drone that was 3.7 V velcroed a small battery from a helicopter for power source. I use the red light at night and get 40 min of lighting and it GIves you a better orientation than two lights that are in the rear. I am old and sight is going the blue and white lights bleed together at long range the red sticks out and you know exactly you're direction

Hi neat and awesome work, Im jealous !!. I have a Feiyutech 3 axis 3 I would like to connect to my bugs, Is there any connects on the reviever board that will allow me to control the camera angle or lock modes of the gimbal ???

hey chris i have a question.... i have a buggs 3 it has a burnt motor or esc, i have motors from a mav mini and motors from a dji phantom 3, i have 4 spare esc from a contixo f18 which arer same size as the buggs esc"s , will the mini motors work on the buggs or the dji phntm 3 motors work ? let me know what you think thanks.

nice video. I got a question: I did a antenna model with a 6 dbi sms cable. the problem.im having is when I scraped away the white coating from the original antenna i pulled out the wires and now i dont know where to put each of the the pulled apartment twisted cable.In other words i need to know when.looking at the back.of the inside of the transmitter does the inner wire of the antenna cable go to the left or right or vise vera. at.first i thought the.was no different but im only getting about 20 FEET distance. Any.help would be appreciated. Thank You.

Whatever you have now I would swap. Off the top of my head I believe the left one is where the center of the coax goes. The shielding I would solder to the big silver case. That whole case is a ground so wherever you solder it, it will be good to go. That way you can test both points with the center coax to see which one is the positive. Try that and let me know if it works. When I get home from work I will try and help you more if need be. Please let me know and good luck!

How do you know how far out the drone is? How do you know how many meters away from the controller you are?

Couple questions: What is the advantage of the 60 port compared to the 30? Is it because of the bigger battery? I’m asking because I have a 3000MaH battery that fits the 30, but wasn’t sure if there’s a difference. Also, what is the alarm for?

GunSniper3 The XT60 allows you to use 3s batteries for more power. If you want to do the mod you will be able to use both XT30/60 batteries. The alarm on the remote only works with 2s batteries. If you use 3s you need to install an alarm so that you know when the battery is getting low. It’s pretty bad for the batteries to fly with them until they’re completely dead. I would recommend setting the alarm voltage at 3.6.

how did your bugs make out without stock antenna on the aircraft? heard you have problems if you take the stock one out? also, the antenna cable looks very thick which antenna did you add to the bird?

I heard that too but mine has been doing fine without the stock 1 in addition to the aftermarket. I think that guy had a bad solder point

so the original quad uses a 2s battery and you now have a 3s battery? do you have a voltage regulator to bring the voltage down to spec?

Crouton B B One isn’t required. The only thing I ended up doing, that I can remember is installing a battery alarm. With a 3S battery, the factory one won’t work properly. They’re around 3-5 bucks.

3m Dual Lock or Scotch Extreme Fastners both are the same and work well for many applications. In the USA Home Depot or Lowes or even Walmart is a good place to find those brands.

Drew Grubbs Man, honestly at that point I would start to scrap the bugs completely and start building your own from scratch. The most expensive thing you’ll have to buy is a transmitter. Once you have that you can spend anywhere from 100 bucks to your hearts content building your own race drone. The kind of drone you can build for 100-120 bucks will completely destroy the bugs. That’s what I ended up doing and I don’t regret it. Unfortunately I’ve fallen completely out of the hobby so I have a bunch of stuff I need to get rid of. Lol.

I just finished my motor and esc upgrade and wow !! Bugs is super fast i used emaxx MT2204 2300KV moters and emaxx nano 20-30 amp esc now can handle 3s and 4s i haven't tried 4s yet but on 3s its fast before the upgrade i tried 3s on stock but was getting a lot of vibes and shaking now smooth and vary responsive the only thing is when i arm the motors and they idle to fast probably need to program the esc to slow them down on idle but cant hook bugs to blheli that i know .
