MK- 16 diesel .1,5cc on the testbench after major reapair

Today I like to check the condition of the rebuild engine. It was a major rebuild. (you can see the 2 parts on my channel...,"piston making for a modeldiesel"...)The engine was in very bad shape.Actualy everything was bad or demaged.
I check the mk-17 manual,and it shoud run 12000 rpm. wit 0,15 hp.
The used fuel was 40/29/29/2 petr/aeth/cast/ipn.
Its possibel that the higher readings was because moore petroleum in the mix,..as its actualy a race mix,not the standart fuel.( regular mix is 1/3 each)
So I check with my rpm meter (some peopel tell me its rubbish,because the high readings on my tuned KMD engine was impossibel...) ... but he do work correct.!...Anyway... the MK-16 do run better than suspected! It was gain aprox 400rpm extra! And the piston is stil not full run in ,so a bit moore rpm is still possibel after the engine free up completly and exact settings.
But that reading was moore,than I hoped for.I messure even peaks of 13000 rpm!
.So now I can ad the engine to the other "great runners" of my diesel collection.

Thanks for positiv coment! It makes me feel good,when I see thats it a lot interrest in the old engines,and how to make parts etc.Its not easy to make a good diesel piston fit.A lot material "fly straight away" to the dustbin,as somthing is not 100%..but nobody say ever,its gona be easy,right? And training makes a master...but I am stil far away from it....somewhere in the begin I would say! :-) I hope I wil find one day the time to make my own engine...but too many projects right now. Hey there! Its a model diesel engine.It burn mix of petroleum (or diesel) and aether with (castor) oil. Its the same like a ordinar 2 stroke engine.But the aether in the mix is very explosive. Because the piston in the engine compress air,it heats up.( like the bicycle pomp heats up when pomp a while) So the aether explode first and ignite the petroleum or dieseloil. The casteroil stays as a lubricant and almst dont take part of the ignition.Its the grey smoke you see,when the engine run.

Many thanks!! I love it too a lot.Every rebuild is different.I learn so much from al the things I do.Check out the CS Deezil rebuild story. (Maeby you already saw?) There you can see a lot different stages of rebuilding,or actually in this case,build up missing parts of a new incompleet repro Diesel from the Chinees CS company. This was a hell of a job.I have 7 of the orginal Deezil engines.Those wil be compleet rebuilded incl.new one peace crankshafts and repro box! 5 wil be for sale. Peter

Du hast aber deine hausaufgaben sehr gut gemacht!! Bin sehr ueberrascht!! Ja,es ist der Deezil. Ich habe 5 orginal motoren,und fuer einen freund in Canada,(Davideo hat hier auch einen channel) habe ich ihm einen zusammen gebaut, Wir haben ein CS replica kurbelgehauese mit welle gefunden auf ebay...der rest war weg! Gestern lief der motor.Schoenes stueck! Davideo hat se sehr gut beschrieben in seinem clip,was das problem war.Er freut sich schon riesig auf den motor!

Ja,ja,es war viel zu tuhn bei dem hier.Ich dachte schnell klaar zu sen,weil es fast der gleiche motor ist wie der MK-17...Aber fast nicht passte.Aber hat sich gelohnt.Nur das mit der farbe hat nicht ganz hingehauen...muss ich noch besser machen.Habe noch so viele offene projecte! Bin garade dabei meinen neusten clip zu machen....bald auf meinem channel...verrate noch nichts!! :-)

Many thanks for your kind words. 3 years ago I start with my first conrod making..and with many errors and mistakes I slowly learn the hard way,how to make parts,....and still dont get frustrated,if it dont work after many houers...but the reward is always great! So you was buy that green one of E-bay? It was a long time listed,if we speak about the same engine. I am now bussy with a very large rebuild.I do rebuild a spanish Byra 2,5 competition from 1953. I make a new crankshaft,cilinder,piston &rod. I made a lot fotos,so it wil be a very large but interresting rebuild story.Engine run already,but must put the clip together,what is also a lot work,but at the end its nice and worth al the efford...like always! :-) Have a great weekend ..and keep them running Derek!! Ha,ha...hast aber gut gelesen und aufgepasst was Ich schreibe!! Nein der muss auch noch kommen..Ich freue mich um das interesse! Film ist zwaar schon fast klaar,aber noch etwas details dazumachen.... Es ist ein rebuild von einem USA replica motor aus dem jahr 1948... Habe zylinder ,kolben,und kopf selber gemacht. Die orginal motoren habe eigentlich nie gelaufen in den USA,auch nicht wenn sie neu waren.Tausende leute waren abgerippt... Aber aussehen tuht er schoen! :-)

Hello. It's 2023 and I have brand new MK-16 in my hands, which was brought from my cousins hands to my father and then to me. I know very well that the engine was never running. What can I do to test it? I'm flying RC planes with electric engines but I'm thinking more and more to finally create some plane powered with this engine. Other thing is a fuel which I could not get anywhere nowadays.

Hello my friend. The MK 16/17 is a lovely engine,and I think you will have a lovely time,once it runs. The engine should be flushed out first with petroleum, but do not take it apart..just make sure, the piston is down, so the fluid can enter the inside. The let it leak out properly.also ad a bit..a few drops of car motor oil..not to much...and turn over careful.. You need to make the fuel your self. I have no idea,in which country you live.. but you can buy in the pharmacy a bit of sulfuric ether. Then you need castor oil and petroleum.. or regular car diesel fuel. Mix all in 1/3 parts together..and you have the right fuel. So 33% ether,33% castor oil and 33% diesel fuel or lamp petroleum.. The compression is slighly higher as on a glow engine. I do not know, if you had start a glow engine before.Other wise ask a friend,who did it..or check out online a forum. Its a mix of 3 equal parts Aether,petroleum, and castor oil . So 33% each part. For the best power and smooth running you should ad +/- 5% Cetaanbooster. (NOT Octaanbooster!!) Check the internet for it. If you have more questions,I will be happy to answer!

Naja,der CS rebuild war eine testprobe. Ich habe jetzt 6 org. Deezil daheim. 5 davon werde ich neu aufbauen, ist kein problem. Nur die kurbelwelle wird noch etwas testen und probieren erfordern. Ich hatte schon voor 2 jahren eine bessere welle gemacht,und die hat gehalten und motor is auch gelaufen. Aber ich habe jetzt mehr erfahrung. Ich werde es complet neu machen.Die motoren ,bis auf einen ,werden verkauft auf ebay.Alle teile in kleinserie machen ist besser,als einzeln motor zu restaurieren

Вы правы, это было тогда очень хороший двигатель с отличным соотношением. также много производств. У меня есть все версии этого. Двигатель выглядит очень красиво.

Я знаю, что у русских есть много микромоторов kopiert.De известного WEBRA Mach 1 ... стать MK 12 B! а также MVVS дизель 1958 от Tschechien точно kopiert.De MOSKWA зажигания двигателя был MVVS afgelijd.Ook известного italianse 2,5 куб.сма Супер Тигре стал МЕТЕОРОМ и Супер Тайгер Комета возникла с 5cC. Ни один из многих призвал клятв, Росси .15 FRV, что если UCTKAM русский рынок kwam.Maar Есть много, много больше призвали, как вы, конечно, сами знаете. Теперь они дешевы на том, чтобы найти чистый. Я во владении Bijnaar всех типов.
