MK2 FOCUS ST GOES FULL TURBO BACK | AIRTEC DOWNPIPE INSTALL
In this video, we install the Airtec downpipe to my mk2 focus st22 In preparation for the tuning on Saturday with bevo, we ensured to get the downpipe installed before hand to maximize gains on the dyno.
This pipe was difficult to install so i wish you the best of luck trying it yourself.

Ever focus at has the same down pipe bolt issue. Mine two came out no issues the last one was a blow torch job

yes i did .. took a day or so to bed in but yes more turbo whistle, more grunt and better throttle response... cant wait for saturday

Ohh u fucker lol. I’ve lost count of the amount of times I’ve swore at my st when working on her. My down pipe bolts fell out, but they are known to snap George. Good vid mate. See you at bhp if your going 👍👍

So all bolts went in the downpipe in the end. Ahaa it's a pain I no, done one before without useing a lift just axles lol... Good vid tho

Probably should of used stage 8 locking nuts, standard ones are usually a 1 time shot and come loose if re used

Can I ask after the Down pipe and decat do you get the engine light stay on. I’ve heard it does and an mil extension is needed

With the decat, yes. I put an “L” shape extension on mine. That stopped it. The downpipe O2 sensor also triggers “Rich” on long motorway journeys with a stage 2 map.

Sounds great. Ive put the 3” down pipe and decat on mines but having problems 2 weeks down the line. Engine malfunction message comes up and all warning lights come on then it goes into reduced acceleration. Also doesn’t rev past 3.5 k. Plugged into computer and it came up as bank 1 sensor 1 so replaced sensor and it’s got worse. I’ve been told to put genuine sensors in which I’ve ordered. Any 1 had similar problem?

Who takes their car to a Garage of all places and they cant remove the bolt on the first day haha, all garages have induction heaters aswell as blow torches to heat expand to remove rusted bolts... as for youre car id get the engine blockmod sorted before the bottom ends give out and youre left with a paperweight on youre driveway
