You've done a fantastic job, well done! I owned an E-reg similar to this, same colour in fact, it was my first car back in 1986. As tempting as it may be try not to thrash it to death (like I did and broke the gearbox) it would be a shame to spoil all your hard work.

I kept the factory underseal on this and just sprayed over the top! Not the best method but it worked..! 😁
