Love this, in the middle of swapping a new vr6 into my mk3 jetta and taking the already used vr6 apart for full forged internals and it’s going into my 2.0L👌🏾👌🏾

I've never really got over my love for the mk3. I've had 2 8v's and 2 vr6's and this channel just makes the urge to buy another stupidly high. Great channel and love all the mk3 content.

@@Project7YT definitely. 1st was a 3dr in twilight violet,1 owner from new with 65k. My last vr was a 3dr, red, recaros and th line wheels. Both sold ridiculously cheap.

Apart from Christian smith there isn't any dedicated mk3 channels out there, such a shame really Oh for sure man, you don't even need a garage just source some bargains like Connor and you can do it really cheap

Excellent, video, i always enjoy these. Got my AYL 2.8L 24V VR6 engine from a VW Sharan and also got a O2A transmission. What i miss is the Flywheel and the clutch kit, the starter, and the immobilizer defeat into the ECU. Im going to fit it on my 1994 MK3 Golf GTI 2.0L 8V. Curious to know which starter, Flywheel and Drive by Wire Pedal is compatible ?

@@fluffstar_ that's true, personally I always declare everything, even down to logbook changes. Best to be safe than have your car confiscated. The 20v is all legitimate, not worth the risk.

What about the rubber parts of the motor mounts? Can you use the 8v or do you have to use different ones? Since you have to use motor mount brackets from different models.. I'm in the process of ordering and searching for all the parts needed for this swap too :)
