For the remotes, you just need a new battery. Then they should work. Also the reciever module has little switches for pairing the remotes (you can pair a max of 2 ones). These switches also control the comfort opening of the windows and also the Turn signal "blink" when u lock and unlock the car. I've got the manual somere laying around. If i find it, i can tell you what dip-switch does wich function. The reciever module can be found where the central locking pump is located, as it is a parth that is clicked between the car electric harness an the pump. Also the casings for the remotes are still available new. The remotes are called Cobra 7777. The reciever is from Votex. Also the Gti seats are dope! Still, if you want i can definetly help you out with some things. Just give me a pm or smth. Cheers.

The seats are looking great. If you want to keep the original headrests for the back, you can pull the GTI fabric off and switch it over to the old bench. Then you'd have headrests in the back. It's all about the details!

Did you try to isolate the cut wires? I highly reccomend you to do that even if you wait for the soldering gun. That still can cause fire...

Love the content! The rabbit comes from the Austrian model MK3 VWs. Austria was the only country this model was released...I actually just bought a Mk3 Golf Rabbit Variant TDI from Austria but have to wait until Covid borders lockdown loosens up. The Rabbit looks good on your Savoy!

Kudos on the running rabbit on the front grill, it looks sick!!! How are you planning to fix the hole on your rear bumper? Should get a beat up bumper from the yard and do a cutout to fill in the hole and just glue it and repaint it; just a thought. Oh and definitely thumbs up on the GTI seats!!!

Thanks man! and honestly I had the same thought about the rear lip and ill probably try and do that. I also wanna do like a votex or a zender body kit at somepoint so thatll cover up the rear lip too

dude everything can wait till you fix the electrical problem or you won't have anything to work on anymore (if burned!!!). just follow the harness that you've cut from the tow hook and remove it completely from the car's harness. don't leave any open wires after that. simple! and disconnect the battery till you fix this! or if is going to burn to the ground at least catch it on camera it will be a million views video! :D

seats look good but it's no savoy without the orignal seats. and Rabbit editions in europe are always the last serie they make of a Golf. and just remove the wiring that went to the tow hitch. and see if your grounds are still good. there is really nothing hard about that
