The heads of the bolts on the coil are all rusted on mine and can't get them off. If I drilled the heads off can I get the bolts out with vise grips?

minute 4:15, when you said one 2 ,3 and 4 is that the firing order? or you just count them?

I can see that you were not replacing battery.But dealing with electrical components it is wise to disconnect power source.so as not to short out other components ,like computer and other onboard items such as relays,sensors etc etc etc...

Any idea on how to fix a code for a throttle positioning sensor on my 2.0 aeg code engine? The code says its the pedal or the throttle body.

You start by cleaning throttle body. If issue still persist. Double check all your hoses and connections. If still an issue. Check connector wires with multimeter. If electric pedal do the same with it's connector points. If this is still an issue you may be lucky and just need the throttle relearned. If it's not that you may have an issue with your ECM that's a whole other rabbit holem

Is there a specific ignition coil that i have to look up for? Like a part number? I have a 2001 golf. I know its only three yrs apart from yours and dont want to get mixed up with the parts. Thank you for your time.

Just from a quick google search, it looks like you could possibly have the same coil or it may be different. I would try to look under the secondary air injection pump and see if the wires are in a line like the one in this video. If they are you should be able to follow the link in the description and order that one! Hopefully this helps! :)

Getting a flashing ECL and definitely a misfire in 3rd gear throttle down , should I do plugs and coil pack or just start with coils.

all three of my bolts on the actual coil pack are stripped.. any tips?

I'd try pounding a t45 in and make sure it's deep and that would get it out. Also helps that it's a stripped out 6mm maybe try pounding in a 1/4 in Allen it's .35 mm larger. Do the Allen firsth then the t45. Remember the deeper you get the Allen into the head the better it works so take your time and settle bit deep into the head then extract.

I keep getting code p0343, p0353,p0354. My car starts up and runs. Its just got a rough idle with check engine light. If I replace camshaft position sensor you think that will solve ignition coil codes? Also Can you do a video showing how to wire the 4 pin connector when previously using 6 pin connector?

Was it misfiring with the bad ignition coil on all 4 cylinders?

Not all 4, but IIRC it was missing on 2&4. they were connected on the coil assembly.

That's what I'm saying. I'm trying to find out how he tested it to confirm it was the coil. I just pulled mine off and inspected it . Looks like it may have some cracks in the plastic outside and inside of where the plug wire connect. Corrosion on where the number 4 (D) on coil goes. I'm trying to find out how to test it to make sure . I'm not going to buy a book for it because I plan on selling the car once I get it running right and idling right. Car shakes and engine shakes and puffy exhaust. No smoke no knock or anything so I know it's nothing major internal. Also suspected timing belt was installed incorrectly before I bought it has about 30,000 on the belt since it was last changed. But I suspect if it had run that many miles with incorrect timing it wouldn't be running at all now cuz the valves would all be destroyed . Just trying to find information on testing the coil to make sure it is the coil that's bad before I throw however much more that is into this car just to sell it. I'll take to big of a loss at mechanics special pricing.

@@jeremyvasquez9508 Those are the symptoms that you just enumerated. Rough start, shaky idle, check engine light blinking. My coil was cracked too, this resulted in cylinder 4 misfiring, and in the dark you could actually see it spitting out sparks where it was cracked. After changing the coil the engine ran perfect.
