Look at the trans is nothing. I finally did my first motor pull on a 1.8t in a jetta and now i’m getting ready to put it on a stand. This vid helped a lot, thanks so much

I would use Mistolin - oven cleaner - to clean the transmission... at first shot, its done, and if use hot water, for sure it's clean!

Nice work! Good cinematics and cinematography... I don't do videos because I always forget to do before shots and the in between transporting from one spot to another... There would be a lot of magic teleporting if it was me. Keep them coming but stay warm. -Chris from Texas!

Aha it makes you realize how much goes into making these short videos. It definitely makes an hour job turn into a 2 hour job really quick. Most of the time I forget to even record because I just want to hurry and get the job done.

So I know it’s an old video but I figure I’ll ask, I was pulling my trans yesterday and my buddy thought it was sealed on after removing all the bolts so used a screwdriver to pry away the trans from the engine creating a couple chips in the outer edges of the o2m mating surface. Am I screwed or is that not gonna cause any major issues?

No, A 20th anniversary I parted out a couple years ago. I’ve always been curious if anyone has ever put a 6 speed from a mk5 into a mk4. 🤔
