Get a Aluminum thermo housing/crack pipe! You coukd get them powder coated to match block/sai plug.. removing all that will help you immensely when doing that. i also have a VR may start posting when i have maintenance to do. Glad i found your page!

Looking to do this on my VR6 too. Besides installing that plug into the engine block, did you do any other modifications to vacuum hoses and/or electrical connectors? Also, do you just live with the check engine light being on all the time, or did you have the SAI system coded out with a software tune? If you live with the check engine light, does it run fine anyways?

Yes it runs fine with sai delete the check engine can b deleted to b honest wen i did it it took away my check light. Nothing special but a bunch of vacuum delete and blocking off all inlets

How did you manage to get that off, I got the pump off but I can't figure out a way to get that bolt out (to install plug) other than removing the alternator, which I really don't want to do. Any tips would be greatly appreciated 👍

U don't have to remove the alternator u can work a round it its tight

Amron Clan bro don’t listen to this man you can’t just rip all that out you have to keep the vacuum cylinder 1 solenoid and keep the inlet flap connected. Facebook search our group V5 Owners Club and join up, answer then questions and I’ll approve you. There is a ton of info there 🤘🏼

Bcz i discovered that my car had sai deleted from previous owner and the hole wasnt pluged by anything the only bad thing that happen is my car is hard to start only on cold start

Have you found a resistor that works for the SAI pump? I'm debating on getting the urotuning 1.8 sai delete kit to see if those resistors will work. Can anyone confirm? I have a 2000 VR6 GTI 12v this is the only video on YT for this lol

I don't see the point if you don't get a tune ,I don't wanna see a stupid light on all the time. Besides in NY you can't have an active code in order to pass inspection. No, not an emissions check it's a safety check but you can't have a cel.
