For future viewers: This video was helpful, I did my glow plug harness this past weekend and it is now working as stock. Once you get the air filter, battery, and battery trey out of the way, there is a lot of room to work with. The most challenging step for me was soldering the connections but that is more related to my lack of experience. I used weather tight heat shrink which I've been told is the proper way to finish soldered joints. HTH

@@sergioalvarez4979 It was very self evident, the new wire color code matched the old wires. I just match them. I really don't think it matters as far as activating the glow plugs goes, but I matched them just in case. HTH

Did the harness y to another module near the head? It's like a circular connector to the side near the high pressure relay

How'd it turn out? Code go away? Riding open that main wire harness was a lot of work you really didn't have to go through.

Does it matter where u solder each wire ? Are all 4 the same or are they color coded

They are color coded. Doesn't matter where you solder them but you would want to replace as much as the harness as possible. I have seen people just snip the harness by the head and splice it right there to the new one but this adds extra length and the wires rub up against the head and short out

It's probably the Tandem Pump, you can buy a new one or reseal the old one

Also can be leaking where the injector harness goes into the head. Kind of a job to seal as you have to pull the valve cover and pull out the harness assembly

Thanks for uploading your video. I used your method and successfully installed a new harness in my Jetta Mk5. It took me 3 hours.
