Theres an interview where one of the engineers from Google explained why they went with the new camera design for the Fold. Its in German. He basically said that they want their phones to be symmetrical but the Fold is already asymmetrical so they believed it to fit the design language more

I have a Google Pixel Pro 7 and it's still awesome. I was going to get the 8 Pro and give this one to my sister to upgrade her old phone, but the 9 Pro XL is out, so I will be getting that in a while. No urgency, but maybe in a few months. I used to use that real popular protective case brand for all my phones for years, but earlier this year I got the dBrand case with black leather for my Pixel 7 Pro and my Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra which still works great. I actually love these cases. Just as protective, but skimmer and more compact, the look and feel, and the case doesn't start deforming or deteriorating blue the rubber outer case of that other brand over time. I will definitely be getting the dBrand case and screen protectors when I get my Pixel 8 Pro XL.

I switched from Samsung to Pixel when the Pixel 7 launched and I've been extremely happy. The Samsung devices are a lot more powerful, but I just love how fast and snappy the Pixel phones are. The cameras are extremely good (especially for photos), and the UI simplicity + frequent updates are nice. I'll be getting a 9 Pro XL to replace my 7 Pro.

I been using Pixel since pixel 4 and never look back to using iphone. I just love the image quality and performance remain consistence even after multiple updates to the software. Most of all, being on google fi and using the hotspot & tethering connecting to my laptop hasn't fail me when i needed most. Currently I'm using pixel 6 but accidentally dropped my phone and the screen cracked a few days ago. I just put in my pre-order for Pixel 9 Pro, after all these year owning a pixel phone this is the first time ordering a pro version. I can't wait to receive it. If I hadn't dropped either the pixel 4 or 6, i would continue to use the old pixel and still be happy with it.

FINALY SOMEONE HAS DONE IT! I've always said why doesn't a phone manufacture release a phone that's small in size but has all the top tier specs. camera, processor ,ram etc. whenever you wanted the premium specs u had to go with a "pro" version but that always ment it came in the "big form factor" now we finally have a phone that's small but mighty. I was set on moving away from Google until MKBHD's review of the Pixel 6 convinced me to give it a try. A few months in, with the phone overheating in warm weather and fingerprint scanner issues, I was done. I do miss some of Google’s great software features, but now I just watch out of curiosity.

Very excited to see the Pixel line expanding to more countries where people were waiting for them for awhile. ❤ Things I'd like to see in the full reviews, apart from the others: • Pixel phones: battery life, speed of the fingerprint scanner, any software defects (although I know these are more likely to show up after prolonged use)? • Pixel Fold: inconveniences vs the 9 Pro, battery life, how visible is the crease, how likely would it be for you to use the Fold as a daily driver, knowing that you usually prefer the normal phones • Watch: battery life compared to the last year's watch • Buds: noise cancelling quality, also compared to top in-ear headphones like Sony's, microphone and sound quality.

Nice. Most wanted feature: the ability to have two languages for voice search, and automatic detection which one you're speaking. It would be a waste of resources to use AI for this, it would be more reliable with just two different assistant phrases. Typically it involves open hours and how do I get to store X while driving.
